Going to see the mouse next month. Everytime we`ve been before we`ve spent in a hotel, but this time we will have a villa.
Anyone got any information on Resortquest vacation villas. They`re based on Linfields near the end of the 192.
Any good or bad comments ?? and any tips???
Thanks Sean

I've passed the building many times- it's the one that was featured on the daytime TV prog last year (whose name escapes me !) I think it houses a couple of different companies as when we visited last year our management company's ( see the trip reports for that saga  ) emergency out of hours number was based there - so if you get offered a villa managed by Florida Palms Vacation Homes - run !!

We stayed out at Palm key in 2003 and had to pick up the keys at resort Quest. The staff were very helpful and knowledgable and took a lot of time making sure we knew where to drive to get to the villa. They tried to seel us extra insurance cover for damage to the villa and attraction tickets, but we knew better !!! Have a great time
You can normally get a better deal booking direct with the owners. If you'd like info on any villas I've stayed in pm me

The villa we had in july in montego bay was owned by a friend but managed by resort quest.
We had to call them once because the wc leaked they were very helpful and it was repaired whilst we were out the same day. Friendly staff
The only thing to beware of is we activated the villa phone using a credit card total cost for about 14 calls £150 Other dibbers have suggested getting a phone card from the quickie Mart (Walmart) Wish we had!!!
I suspect not all villas phones will cost the same but do check the charges first or you might get caught like us

well when we first went two years ago, my son was fiddling with a phone at Disney mgm and out pooped a phone card with $20 worth of credit (i checked it back at the hotel), well that lasted that holiday and the april one last year.
Sorry to be cheap but it still has about $10 on it so will use it in october.
Its still in my wallet i bought at a flea market.
you just dial a free number and tell them the number you want

Some villa owners now offer all free phone calls from their homes including international ones you may be lucky and get one that does although in my experience RQ tends to like to keep the credit card or phone card system as they make a bit of money out of it .
In 2002 I won a holiday to Orlando with a local company and the villa we stayed in as part of the prize was with Resort Quest. They are excellent, but pricey I think. The staff are really lovely and I made a good friend there, Marie, who I`m still in contact with. She lives just outside New York now. We have been using the same villa company for many years and they are the most reasonable we`ve ever come across. We`re not supposed to say the name of villa companies on threads (have a look at the villa link) but if you want to know their name, any more about them etc. then just pm me.
Fiona.
