I think the only games you can buy are for the game boy advance. Not an expert but that's what someone told me.

Not on standard uk machines

You can only play them on a "chipped" machine.
All gameboy advance games play on any machine so they're ok.
You can play american gamecube games on a UK machine if you have an Action Replay Freeloader disc.
Hope this helps

Hi, just to confirm my boys both have gameboy advances. So if I buy gameboy advance games while in the U.S. they will play on the boy's UK gameboy advances machine?????

Thanks

Have a wee look at the following. It'll give you all the info you need.
We got one a while ago and always bring back games from Florida. You can get games not available in the UK or nor yet released.

www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00006FRDA/026-5976042-4466818

Forgot to say - you can buy the Freeloader disc without the Action Replay disc. I think the price is about £14 - £15
