i know the alchohol rules are very strict in the US but was wondering what the situation is at places like DTD,Citywalk and the Broadwalk. could our teenage DSs (13 16) enter the bars and obviously not drink or is there no entry for under 21s.
there are a few things DH and i would like to do but may not be able to if this is the case.
also how about resturants with bars would the boys be able to sit at these if we were also eating there later?
not really a pair of old boozers just past holidays have been so full we had very little time for sitting and drinking and would like to take advantage of the extra time we will have next year.
thanks

i seem to remember beng asked to move away from the bar area in the restaurant as i was under 21 in california and this was in a restaurant (pizzaria Unos) we could sit at a table away form the bar but unsure of the law in "bars"

Any bar, not with an attacheed restaurant is over 21's only from what I can recall. If there is a bar in a restaurant then under 21's have to sit well away from the bar even whilst waiting to be called for a table.
Did you have any particular places in mind?
Claire :wink
:( .. certainly Jellyrolls on The Boardwalk is over 21s only. Anywhere you can eat full meals is generally family friendly in our experience.

under 21s can not normally enter a bar- but I think there are places at Pleasure Island that are ok - I seem to recall a debate on the Dis about whether it was appropriate for kids to be there, which makes me think they are allowed in some places, although obviously they can't drink.
Separate admission required to enter Pleasure Island nightclubs. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a person 21 years of age or older. But to enter BET Soundstage Club and Mannequins Dance Palace Thursday - Saturday, you must be at least 21. Valid photo ID required.
Which would imply you could take your kids to the other places.

Looking at the Citywalk website, nearly everywhere says 18 or 21 and older on it.

You can order a drink in a restaurant no problem. If your kids were 19 or 20 then you may have had a problem, as they tend to be quite strict when there are kids close to drinking age at the table.
under 21s can certainly enter most of the places at Citywalk or PI apart from Mannequins at PI and a couple of others that I cant recall at present. They are of course not allowed to drink or sit at the bar area but can still enjoy the atmosphere along with you:) Becky (my DD) came along with us and loved the Adventureres club at PI amongst others:)
