Good Morning Everyone!
We went to Disney this year but didn't go to Universal or IOA. We are going back for 3 weeks next year (how lucky am I!!) and are thinking about tickets etc. Is Universal/IOA good for younger children? Ours will be 3 and 11.
Also is IOA a totally separate park from Universal? Can you walk from one to the other?
Thanks
Karen :D

Yes, they are separate parks but you park in the same car park for both. You can easily walk from one to the other.
I would say that they are quite good for children. Your 11 year old will probably love them. There is probably a bit more for a 3 year old at IOA with their Toon Lagoon & Dr Seuss sections but they have a Barney area/playground area plus ET etc in Universal too.

Thanks,
I've just realised that I've put this in the wrong forum! Is there actually a Barney show at Universal? Also both the girls are Cat in the Hat mad at the moment.
Thanks
Karen
Yes they are two separate parks within 5 - 10 mins walking distance of each other.
IoA is the park with the thrill rides and as long as you are all in to those your family should really enjoy those. You may find there isnt as much for the 3 yr old in IoA but there should be enough to keep him/her happy -especially at Seuss Landing and some rides in the Jurassic Park and Lost Continent. It is a real thrill park and great fun
US we enjoyed too and there should be plenty to keep you all entertained. If you wish you could buy the Express tickets and get front of line access - great when you have little ones in tow.

You couls also do what we did and stay a night at one of the Universal hotels (we chose Royal Pacific).
You get front of the line access on all rides on both the day of check in and check out.
The hotel was gorgeous with a great pool area and is either a 10 monute walk from both parks or you can take the water taxi from the hotel to the parks.
We totally recommend it.
