everglade safari with virgin

thinking about doing this trip next time. Though i have reservations about the length of time it will take to get there and wether it will be worth it. Have done a boggy creek airboat ride and loved it even though we broke down and had to be rescued by another boat. Saw the golden eagle nest and a 12ft alligator and a few odd looking birds.BRILLIANT.

I was wondering about doing the Virgin everglade trip and then looked at Boggy Creek and wondered if that will be just as good, not bothered about seeing anything, I'll be happy to see 2 flies and a frog as long as I get to skim across the water in one of those boats!!!
Also Emily (16) is not really keen on this trip and I don't want to put up with her moaning for that length of time!!
Do you recommend Boggy Creek?

Hi Rio. Yes we really loved it .we went to the one at east lake fish camp. It took about 3/4 to 1 hour to get there but was easy to find (thats from i drive). It cost if i remember $17.95 for adults and $12.95 for children 3 - 12. The ride lasted or should of lasted about 1/2 hour but ours broke down but that didnt spoil anything we just got longer to look at the golden eagle nest. My overall opinion is that it was well worth the money we got some some great pictures. We didnt book we just turned up and waited about 1/2 hour for our ride. It is noisy but you do get ear defenders and when there is something of interest you stop and the driver gives you some info. If it is your first time a couple of good books are "A brits guide to Orlando and Walt Disney World." £11.99 and the Official Guide to Walt Disney World the former having a lot more info on things away from WDW. I found this a better guide. Hope this helps.The first time i went in sept 2003 it just took my breath away :thumbup:

i think I will do that instead of the long journey to the Everglades. can we get there by public transport though?
I have ordered a couple of books and already have the AA guide to Orlando and I think I will get the unofficial guide or the brits guide as well.
