hi all this is my first posting. stayed at the holiday inn int drive may 2003 loved every minute and had to return.
coming over this xmas(15-30) want to know if this hotel is any good, reading some bad and some good things about this place.(not that we'll be in them for long). we are travelling with virgin so do they get preference as their office is in the hotel.
also should we have to book know for food on xmas day?
cheers all
the tuckerz :p:
The hotel is basic and I would say OK. I stayed in it in 2001 but it wouldnt be my first choice again.I know that Virgin have an office there but I cant remember using it very much. To be honest, being a Flagship hotel doesnt mean an awful lot. Virgin 'house' a lot of guests here but all the other hotels I have stayed in in Orlando have been miles better and I have only stayed in 3 stars.
I suppose what I am saying is it is large and impersonal and could do with a makeover. That is not to say I didnt enjoy my time there. It is also very central.

Hi , i have stayed in this hotel 5 times and the holiday inn international once.I do prefer the QII purely because as a non driver i was central to everything, but i do combine the stay with disneys ASM as well and most evenings we were never in before 9 or 10pm,so for us it really was a base.If you don't need to consider it for non driving issues you may not benefit from the location issues.I do agree that the hotel being a flagship does not make it any different to any of the others.:jump:

Wishing you a merry christmas also.Sorry i frorgot to say that with regards to xmas dinner, the maids leave an invite in your room a few days before, and details of prices ect and you just go along. They usually have carol singers and do make it feel very christmassy. Have a brilliant time!:jump:
Hello Tuckerz
We stayed at QII in March 2002 after being moved from a HELL HOLE. We really liked the hotel found the staff to be very helpful and friendly and found it useful to have a Virgin rep on site. They checked everything was OK after we were relocated and we were very satisfied. I would go back again. I'm sure you will like it.

i stayed at this hotel and found it adequate and nice but it is very big and lacks personal service. would stay again but i booked it separately at a very cheap rate so did get what i paid for. if i paid more then i would have expected more.
We have stayed there twice. Once as part of a package and the other time we booked it ourselves. It's a good hotel for the price range.

thanks all for your feed back
Location, Location, Location. Its in the best position for a mix of all parks and fodd places, next to teh biggest Mc's, has a ponderosa, Denny's, other all you can eat etc within walking distance.
Its basic in each room and could do with a makeover, but if you are in the parks all day, a bed is a bed.
The food is ok there, and the shop supplies milk etc.

We stayed there this year (Sept 2004) and it was nice and cheap, but some of the rooms are in desperate need of a make-over. Still it does the job and it is comfortable. Enjoy!
