Columbia Harbour House (MK)

I had the Garden Galley Salad (as usual) which consists of mixed leaves, chicken, pineapple, pecans and feta cheese.
Paul had the same - ordered w/o chicken.
I did ask for extra cheese for his, as they charge the same price as the one with chicken. I don’t know why that is, because if you ask to have the salad as vegetarian at Pecos Bill’s, or Pinocchio’s Village Haus, they deduct $2. I asked why that wasn’t the case here, but the cashier didn’t know. Whatever!
We both had fries and we shared a Large Diet Coke (No ice – cos then you get more Coke)
We both enjoyed our lunch in a quiet area upstairs, overlooking Fantasyland
Our experience here was just as pleasant as always.

Tusker House (AK)

Paul had the Veggie Sandwich and I had the Catch of the Day (spicy grilled salmon, rice and green beans) All good!
Yup – just the same food order as the last time we were here! So I won’t go into detail other than to say it was all very nice indeed, and that we got a better pic for you this time!
Oh and next time we come here, I’m having the Rotisserie Chicken – it smelled divine!

Yorkshire County Fish Shop (EPCOT)

After many visits I finally got to try the fish and chips from the UK pavilion.
There was a long line of (mostly) Brits and I took this to be an encouraging sign.
The batter looked lovely and crispy and I tucked in hungrily, only to receive…………… a mouthful of grease and a piece of rubbery, smelly fish! YUK!
I was SO disappointed!
I’m not sure what species of fish they use here – I didn’t want to dwell too long upon the experience. Maybe I was just unlucky, but it was truly horrible and I’ll never be tempted to eat here again.
Paul said he enjoyed the chips though!

Mara (AKL)

Having spent an enjoyable hour or so in the Victoria Falls lounge at AKL we both felt like a light supper before retiring.
We’d really enjoyed the soup at Mara on previous visits, so we both got the Butternut Squash Soup and side order of Garlic Breadsticks.
The soup looked extremely creamy. Sadly it tasted that way too – it was like drinking watered down condensed milk, with added nutmeg. There was nothing savoury about it at all, and no hint of squash flavour. I chucked mine away.
The warm breadsticks were pretty much OK. Though not very exciting without the soup to dunk them into. They do come with a pot of Marinara sauce, but I wasn’t interested in that. I was looking forward to having them with my soup, so I was sulking.
I knew I should’ve chosen the Chicken Pepperpot soup!

Good’s to Go (OKW)

We were here mainly to check out the resort as we’ll be staying here in 2005.
It was around 11.30 and we weren’t hungry enough for lunch at Olivia’s, so we shared a Veggie Wrap from the take away. Inside the Tomato and Basil tortilla, was a mix of chopped salad veggies and fresh spinach leaves. The crisps are included in the price, so we had to eat them too! It was a very tasty snack.
We sat out in the sunshine and chatted excitedly about our future stay at this pretty and tranquil resort.

Wolfgang Puck Express (DtD Marketplace)

Paul had his favourite Cheese Quesadilla and a side of Herbed Fries.
I had BBQ Chicken, which was fresh out of the oven. It was tender, juicy and had just the right amount of sweetness.
I chose a Ceasar Salad as my side.
I could have chosen Garlic Mash or Herbed Fries, but I needed to save room to try the 4 Cheese Macaroni!
It was a pretty good one and I ate the lot! Paul looked on, shaking his head in disbelief at my indulgent lunchtime ‘carbfest’. LOL
The Festival of Masters was on at DtD and they were handing out discount vouchers for the eateries and shops in the area. We got 20% off at WPE, thus making it even better value than usual.
Great staff and tasty food – we will be back!

Stop it at once! I've already eaten today, and I'm starving again now!:D

I’m not sure what species of fish they use here –

.... :( sadly, I'm not surprised at this.... the real tragedy is that Americans and other nationalities will think this is typical English fayre...

Keep 'em coming Sue and Paul!:D

What are you doing to me? My stomach is RUMBLING!!!! My stomach isn't due to wake up for another few hours yet! I wonder if I could have macaroni cheese for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It still sounds rather appealing. :)

Sorry your butternut squash soup and fish and chips weren't good - everything else sounds and looks delicious. So do calories count at counter service?

I've always wanted to try the fish and chips in Epcot (don't know why as I don't even eat them here at home!), but definitely don't think I'll be trying them now.

I'm hungry now and I've only just had breakfast.

Thanks for the tip off about Rose & Crown we will give this a miss on our next trip.

Your meals sound delightful except the fish and chips. Ben had just the chips and loved them.

Great ideas too for our next trip.

Thanks Sue

Its typical that the fish and chips would be horrible, I remember last year that the only smelly toilets I ever visited in Disney were in the UK at Epcot. I didnt know if should have been impressed with the authenticity or not :D

So I assume the Rotisserie Chicken at Tusker House is still in the plan for this time - I guess fish and chips is out of the question though?

great photos ... those wraps looked really nice..

My dad had the 'fish' and chips from the counter in the UK and DD had some chips ... we joked at the time that if that was their 'interpretation' of a chippy then how authentic are all the other pavillions  I just said that the 'counter should at least be covered in stray salt and vinegar LOL

We had fish and chips at MGM, at the ABC Commissary, and they were lovely - but we weren't impressed with the EPCOT version either!

Just got really excited at the thought I could have butternut squash at somewhere other than Victoria & Alberts, what a disappointment it must have been.
