NYE in WDW with children

Im in need of help !! Does anyone have any ideas/tips on NYE in WDW? I have read lots of threads saying how you must get to the parks early on NYE or risk not getting in. having 2 yo0ung children 1 Autistic this is not going to be possible no way would they manage a whole day/ night in a park. What would be the best way to spend NYE and still make it magical for the children, do the hotels do any thing on that evening?

I think you would be ok with Animal kingdom, I really dont think it will be the busiest park, so you could spend some of the day there and then maybe go to a disney resort hotel like the poly so you could watch the water pagent from the beach, taking a mid day break.
