Hi Does anyone know where we can get a Chines takeaway while we are in Orlando.
The thing is we really want the food to come in those carboard boxes that you see them in on American films and T.V.
Thanks for any help!!!

If you are staying in a villa there should already be a take out menu/yellow pages. I think all the ones that delivered use the cardboard boxes. That's all we really wanted when we went the first time too!

When ordering bear in mind that almost every dish comes with rice!!! I swear we had a bag full of rice and ended up throwing it away, well, I think the racoons ate it out the bins in the end it didnt go to waste.

Hi I have only had a chinese once in Kissimmee but that was about 10 years ago so I cannot comment..only on the fact that they put peppers in the curry!!! YUK
A question for busters mum.... when you mention the chinese on the 27 near publix .is that the one near Highlands reserve? The 27 is a very long road both North of 192 and south so could you please narrow the location down...thanks I am just curious as we are staying down the 27 next time we are there..
and there are at least 2 publix's that I know of...
Thanks

We used the chinese at Champoins Gate, there is also a Publix there. We used the chinese both takeaway and sitting in, was good but large helpings.
We got the takeaway on our way home from the parks one stormy afternoon, just what we needed.

Shelly,
We had a takeaway from the one near to Highlands reserve in October. It was very good and great value too. It came in cardboard cartons.

Many moons ago jj posted a thread that gave a list of the dirtiest eateries in Florida - unfortunately the Chinese places - and particularly the buffets - didn't fare too well.
Consequently, we have been a little nervous of the Chinese eating option when over there.
Boking up rings round you is not an essential part of my holiday, thank you very much!

We had a brilliant chinese at a place just opposite the side entrance to Chillis and just up from TFI's.
The food quality was excellent, drooling as I type!

We're heading for Highlands Reserve in April, so can you let me know (roughly) where this chinese is? (And any other handy takeaways that might be around!). If I've read my villa directions, Publix is just opposite the entrance??

We used the same one as Allan at Champions Gate. Food was very good. Huge portins of sweet & sour chicken with great big chunks of chicken. We went a couple of times for tak eout and hte people were lovely and always handed out complimetary cans of pop or bottles of beer to us. As suggested elsewhere 1 portion of rice will serve at least 2 adults!
Pam.
Where is Champions Gate?

Come out of Highlands Reserve and make a left to the set of lights and make a left where you will arrive at Berry Town Centre which has Publix this is the best for food product shopping, Chinese Takeaway (Bamboo Wok) excellent chinese and also comes in the boxed cartons but last time we waited over 8 hours for food but this was because this was one of the only food eataries open during the last hurricaine but was worth the wait, there is also a great pizza place but they do not deliver, also various shops, real estate agency.

Come out of Highlands Reserve onto the 27, heading North. 1/2 mile North there is a set of traffic lights turn left here. About 50 yards on there is aslight slip raod into the shops. You will see Publix. The Chinese takeaway is on the right hand side. There is also a pizza place next to the Chinese.

I must have been walking around with my eyes closed as I never saw any chinese restaurants/takeaways on IDrive - can anyone tell me if there is one and if it's any good - I love chinese food and must admit I missed our usual take-away when I was there (sad I know but not a great lover of steak!!)

Al I would say is if you are a lover o chrispy Seaweed don't order it from the take out place as you will get the sheet stuff that is used in Sushi I think its atually proper seaweed not deep fried Cabbage.
MY sisters face was a picture when she opened the bag it came in.
