No more regular meals at Restaurant Akershus!

On April 10th, all three meals at Akershus in Epcot's Norway pavilion will become Princess meals. Standard lunch and dinner, including the cold buffet, will be replaced with family style service featuring Norwegian food for adults and kids' favorites for children. The Princess Storybook Breakfast will continue to be American fare.

I think they will lose alot of custom from couples and older guests.

We ate at Akershus twice whist we were there over Christmas.
Once for dinner were the cold buffet was one of the best we had ever had and then once at the Princess Storybook Breakfast which I thought was v disappointing - the princess' rushed throught the restaurant &, I'm sorry if I sound daft here, but I was expecting a story!!!

Shame, shame, shame!

That is awful, awful , awful! I love the place and sometimes when all the themeing is too much this is just such a perfect place to go to for a meal.

I thought WS was to display different countries and their cultures etc not another Disney themed event? I do love Disney but WS was that little bit different.

I think it's good that they are adding more character meals - it's so hard sometimes to get a Princess breakfast!

But they could of chosen somewhere else and not Akershus as no other country in WS has character dinners!

I agree. Akershus is a real gem. It is laid back and a quiet retreat from the parks. There is such a variety of breakfasts with characters so I dont understand why they have done this. I am genuinely upset and so is my daughter.
I suppose Askerhus being my favourite restaurant, this just upset me a lot.
