This is my first post on here. I have recently booked my first trip to Orlando with a company called USAirtours. Got their brochure from travel agent, so presume they are ok! Have booked a villa with them, and the brochure merely states that the villa is in Thousand Oaks, 1m from Kissimmee.
Has anyone else ever been with this company, or know if the villa location is any good. Bit late to know its not, I suppose, but forewarned is fore-armed!
We have also booked a second week in Sarasota at the Shorewalk villas with Virgin. Anyone got any info on there?

Here is some information on Thousand Oaks:

Thousand Oaks is one of the most peaceful and secluded developments. This exclusive area is appropriately named as the villas are surrounded by beautiful woodland conservation with a multitude of very old majestic oaks and pines. It has several natural, deep-water lakes, the largest of which is just over 40 acres and teeming with fish and other aquatic wildlife. Woodland walks, fishing and wildlife watching are favorite pursuits.

Thousand Oaks is situated south of Walt Disney World on Ronald Reagan Parkway and is 10 minutes from Highway 192 and 2.5 miles from exit 58 of Interstate 4.

We stayed on Thousand Oaks in Nov 2000........and loved it
This development is very peaceful and quiet,some of the villas have permanant residents and some are holiday homes.
On a map,Thousand Oaks looks a bit out of the way,but in fact is in an ideal area for accessing Disney in quite a short time [about 20 mins max],I like to say its far enough from the noise and hustle and bustle of the 192,but close enough for the action.

There is a 24 hour gas station just about half a mile away that is also a mini mart and sells just about everything ,even pizzas.
There is also a Post Office near to T/O as well.

If you wish,I can PM you some directions from Thousand Oaks to Disney,I-Drive,and Walmart superstores in both Haines City and the one on the 192 near medievel times.

There are some big roadworks starting on the I-4/192 junction and you can bypass them very easily from T/O if you know the right roads.

Its situated on the County Rd CR54 Loughman Rd.
The villa we stay in this coming April is on a development right next door to T/O.

I've used USAirtours for all but one of my Florida trips and they've always been excellent - can't fault them at all :)
