hi
would anyone be able to tell me what you wear under the wetsuits at discovery cove when you do the dolphin swim.
thanks
DH was a trainer at Sea World and had to wear a wet suit for part of the day. He wore swimming trunks underneath - not the flappy shorts kind or the tiny speedo variety, but more like fitted boxers!
The people we saw at DC with wet suits on seemed to have swimming costumes on underneath - not that I was checking you understand!!

You have to wear bathing suits.

It isn't really a wetsuit - more of a floatation jacket. We wore normal swimming costumes underneath.
If you look at the thread "Dolphin names at Discovery Cove" in the Theme Parks forum there is a picture which I posted of my wife in with the dolphin. This might give you a clearer idea of what the jacket is like.

I wore my bathing suit - that way you can whip it off and jump on a sun-lounger in a moment's notice! Alternatively, you can wear one of the life-vests which are a lot less restrictive but still keep you warm in the water - it is a bit chilly!!

we were given the choice... 3/4 wetsuits or jackets.... all the girlies picked the wetsuits and spike went for the jacket........ only 1 of us was looking slightly cold in the water !! LOL

You get the choice of a jacket or a wetsuit. You cannot go into any water without it.
Would advice to go for the wetsuit.
Wear normal bikini, swimsuit or trunks under it.....but they are rather tight.
We had a 9.15am dolphin experience and the water was very cold.
However, by late morning it was hot and lagoon water was ok. The wetsuit was a pain if you wanted to sunbathe or visit the toilet. We simply changed the wetsuit for a jacket with no problems.
YOU WILL LOVE IT.

We think we will need wetsuits as it is Feb. but the idea of changing for a jacket after the dolphin swim (if it is warmer by then) is a great idea - I assume they do not mind you going to swap?
