Old Town is a quaintly tatty (IMO) collection of shops and amusements right on the 192 near your hotel (we stayed there one night a couple of years ago).. we like OT, it has a pleasant atmosphere, good for strolling and people watching. There's an old style fairground at one end of the 'street' and some more high tech thrill rides at the other, including the 300ft SkyCoaster!
We like Friday or saturday nights when there is a parade of souped up and classic cars. On another night (thurs?) there's also a motorcycle (Harleys!:D) parade. We like a pizza from Flippers when we visit. Good for a few hours after the parks!:D

Is there another Old Town in Kissimee then as I vaguely remember one there in 1996 with an Irish shop inside!?

I used to realy like it but I have to say it can sometimes feel a bit seedy late at night! Just a bit unsure and uncomfortable about it last time we went (Nov04).

We used to like going to Old Town, but have to agree that is has changed and it is a bit seedy.

That is the website for it. But I think it may be down at the moment.

Sat night is not just pencilled in on the itinery, but written in thick ink.
I never miss out on the Sat Night Cruise, just love all that classic Yank tin.
Friend who came with us last trip vowed to go on the 300ft Skycoaster as he thought it would be a doddle....................until he saw it for real.
Be warned though, this is not anything like Disney, its good ole,'down to earth Sat night for visitors and locals alike.

Hey
Has anyone been on the slingshot ride?
What was it like? would you reccomend?
Not at OT, but did a similar one at Southport... great fun, and not as bumpy as you'd expect! try it!:D

Moi??!!
Opps sorry to disappoint but this is an area I have never been too! Heard too many stories of it being run down and seedy so have never ventured out to it.
