HI EVERYONE
COULD YOU GIVE ME YOUR OPINION ON WET N WILD PLEASE.
ON OUR LAST VISIT WE DIDN`T BOTHER WITH WET N WILD,WE WERE TOLD NOT TO BOTHER.YET I`VE READ ON ONE OF THE THREADS MIXED VIEWS.WE DID THE PARKS FOR 2 DAYS THEN RELAXED IN A WATER PARK. WE LOVED BOTH BB AND TL AND WENT TO BOTH TWICE. WOULD IT BE WASTING A DAY GOING TO WET N WILD? THANKS

If you have the Orlando Flex ticket, then imo you may aswell give it a try. My kids liked our visit there, but we all prefer TL and BB. If you don't like it you haven't really wasted a day, you could leave early and go elsewhere. If you are only buying Disney passes then I would give it a miss.

I would say though, if you do go, don't go on a weekend or BH.

Wet and Wild was okay, but you paid to get in and then you had to pay extra to hire inflatables to go down certain rides.
We wouldn't go back TL and BB are much better.

Wet n Wild has great water thrill rides and teenagers seem to love them. It is very different to TL and BB. I do prefer the Disney water parks - less cluttered, well....just nicer. Having said that we went to WnW this time and couldnt even be bothered to go to BB.
I think you should give it a go. I just floated round the lazy river while the kids went on the rides. Some of them are awesome.

The Disney water parks have lovely theming, especially TL, and for that alone, I prefer Disney. BUT, the boys loved Wet 'n' Wild, the rides are all basically the same, and that is all kids are bothered about. As Paula said, if you've got a flex-ticket, go, but if not, I wouldn't go out of your way to go.

No beach area, but there are sunbeds on the concrete for you to lie out oh, some of which are placed near the wave pool area.

Absolutely NOT ! It's all concrete and steel - some good rides/flumes but on the whole - after trying BB and TL beforehand, we were very disappointed. The Disney theming doesn't suit everyone's taste but for rides etc and just lazing we much prefer them

Another thing to think about is that the locals hit wet'n'wild at the weekends & School Holidays so it can become a bit rowdy. Not that there's anything wrong with them but if you're looking to relax, forget it.

we went both time their kiddies area is great and so are the lifeguards and they do have some good rides, if you have ever been to a spanish water park thats water it reminds me of, just pools and rides, that said I think some of the rides (Storm being my favourite ) are better than tl and bb. THere is less walking as everything is closer together. But if you have a spare afternoon and you have already baught a flexi ticket then go for it. I think again try to avoid the weekends.

We have two DS's and they loved the rides at WetnWild. I also thought they were better than BB and TL.

Like everything Disney does the theme is brill and the overall quality of the parks are very high. But they lack the great thrills that IOA / US and WetnWild can offer.

My view.

I have been to many water parks across the world and WetnWild is very high on that list. The boogie boards had us occupied for hours.

We would return on every trip to WetnWild.............would get bored with BB and TL very quickly and would only go if contained within disney ticket.

Everyone has own opinion.

Have they still got the Knee boarding around the lake, i used to love that. but a ling walk if you come off on the opposite side of the lake

Yep knee boarding or stand up if you can. The jetski now brings you back if you fall at other side of lake. This is brill and Disney could not do any like this.....

When I went to Orlando last June, we stayed in one of the hotels opposite it, so we decided to give it a try, I thought it was great, yes you can hire inflatables, but you can go on all the rides without paying extra, one word of warning though, The Storm ride is a great ride, but you do have to be a very strong swimmer, which is something I'm not, if it hadn't been for the lifeguard I would of drowned! The rest of the rides/slides are brilliant, there is a small sandy beach where you can play volleyball!

We found it crowded and the staff were so miserable. :(

Right - here we go . . .

As I've mentioned before, the Disney Water parks are great at themeing and have some very nice rides, but if you want Full-on fun, then W'n'W is great. OK, it IS a concrete jungle and the walkways do have a tendency of hurting the soles of your feet - but the trade off has to be the better flumes. Teenagers especially will really like it.
There is a small sandy area where they have a volley ball net and you can sit out here if you can find some space. Now I've only been off season when there have been no queues and it's easy to grab a sunbed - I imagine it can get heaving in the peak seasons.
Avoid it at weekends too, that's when the locals use it.
We've always had the flex ticket - so you can just pop in for a quick splash anytime.
The food isn't as good as the Disney one's, but it's still about 10 times better than at a fast food place over here - (get my point)
You do need to hire rings, but it's very cheap.
The kiddies section is very good, and they even have some small "replicas" of the adult rides.
There's a wave pool (not as good as TL), but still has large waves.
My kids could easily stay there for an afternoon - and there's plenty of shade if you get too hot.

So - GO . . but don't have too high expectations - it's NOT Disney after all, but it IS FUN.

I think Mapman gave a fair description. Because I dont like the mad slides that would explain why I didnt like it too much. I also love TL as it feels more spacious and their wave pool is great. The price of the rings isnt much to worry about but people were steeling them left right and centre when we were there. Teenages didnt want to pay so were helping themselves.

NOT

Hated it was nasty dirty and croweded. Staff were miserable and after ½ we ;eft and went shopping. I would not waste a day of my holiday there at all. One of the only disapppointments there.

you do not have to hire the floats for any of the rides the only thing to hire are the lockers, towels and the fings to go in the wave pool there is a small piece of sand near the back of the park that has beds and unbrellas on it

to us the slides dont mean everything, we always go to TL and BB when we go we just love the theming and the beachy feel to the parks, as we use the days there as sort of rest days from all the walking at the main theme parks, when we passed WnW the kids were not that fussed at going so we dont bother, to each their own. as others have said go and try it and make your own opinion, as what others think is good to others is not and visa versa. as an example we were told by friends before our first visit to orlando in 2000, not to bother with epcot as its boring mmmmm dont think so!!!!!!! its a great park and very educational we think, so its down to the individual. whatever you do deided to do have fun fun fun :)
