View Full Version : I'm not getting a DDE card
Further to a planning chat with Paul, I've decided not to bother to get one now.
We are staying At Old Key West this time, so will have brekkie and snacks in the studio.
We both fancy trying a few off site places, for a change.
We are not going back to WDW within the year  (apparently:rolleyes: LOL )

We have been weighing up the pros and cons! If only it had been out for last Oct then we would of ahd it as two trips would of more than paid for it. May wait til nearer the time and then decide!!!

If only it was available last year Claire. We would have been quids in wouldn't we?
It's a good deal. But I think we'd only break even, with our plans as they are this time.
A part of me still want to get it anyway! :wink

Still keep pricing it up in my head but with only 8 days/9 nights at WDW may not be worth it esp as I have booked Club at HRH for 5 nights, and over spent a bit  :D

So, how does it work? If one person presents their card at a table, does the discount refer only to the AP card holder or the whole table?

Here you go Margaret -
Members receive a 20% discount on all food and beverage (including alcohol) for up to 10 people at participating table-service Disney restaurants.
-- Discount applies to member's check only.
-- One Disney Dining card per table. Two cards cannot be combined.
-- Member must be present to receive discount.
-- Card must be presented when ordering.
Claire :wink
So I am presuming that if myself and my 15 and 12 year olds all had APs, then I would present my card and they all would be discounted?
When it says discount applies to members check only, that is the total check and not just his/her food bill. Sorry for being so dumb!

Yes total check as in one bill for the whole table, well thats what I take it to mean. Only the member with the DDE has to have an AP everyone else can have non AP tickets, same principle as AP discounts on WDW rooms.

The DDE card starts to pay for its self after you have spent $250 on meals in WDW :)
We've ordered one of these, mainly because we can also use it at the food court at POFQ, as there is no sit-down restaurant there, so that was a stroke of luck. As we're going back in December for a week as well, it will work out a good deal for us. :D
