View Full Version : The "Definitive" Best Place to Eat Thread

As you may already be aware, I posted a thread here (http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=46990) about the best places to eat and then promised you a poll based on the posts you replied with.
So..... here's the poll.
Some of the newer members asked about cost, so we'll see what wins the poll and then get views on the costs.
In compiling the list for the poll we totted up the mentions restaurants got, eliminated the lowest scoring places and, well, that was pretty much it...
Get voting!!!
PLEASE NOTE - I could only post 10 options in the poll, so don't blame me if your favourite didn't make the cut!:nonono:

sorry but my favourites are not here, and as I've only eaten at 3 - Race Rock (which had excellent themeing, but the food quality would certainly not be anywhere near my favourites list), Boma (very nice, but not quite there) - and so out of the 3, it has to be Bahama Breeze. This was a very pleasant experience.
Must try Red Lobster and the others one day . . .

Well the thread that the poll was devised from gave everyone the chance to nominate their favourites - and we did genuinely do a tally of the responses to get the poll options....
There's nothing to stop you posting your favourites in this thread anyway - if you don't see your favourite in the poll - presumably if your fav rings a bell with other people it should become clear in the thread - there's nothing to stop an outsider winning!!
Although, then again, the idea of the earlier thread was to try to get the options from which the winner(s) would emerge...

Have never eaten at any of the above  but will definitely redress this in October :wink
One of our favourites is Bennigans along the 192, are the others along I Drive?
DS loved Race Rock for the food and the themeing - so we'll vote for that one. But Sweet Tomatoes and Olive Garden are both really good as well

As I've posted before and probably single-handedly got it into the list!

Sorry I've never tried any of them ...................Yet.
I am on a mission next year to try the exploding onion at Race Rock.
I've heard it mentioned, anyone got any details or pictures please.

The problem with that is that when people had the opporunity to put suggestions forward for the poll, Key W K/Cools got only two mentions - although a lot of the guide books seem to rate it pretty highly.
Such are the vagaries of democracy.

Bahama Breeze every time for us!!! And we also enjoyed Cafe Tu To Tango - I would say that these are our 2 all time favourite restaurants/meals.
In fact we tried lots of different restaurants and several of them mentioned in the poll and we didnt really ever have a bad meal but these 2 were way out front.

I had the exploding onion , didn't like it at all.Too much hard batter, the coconut breaded onion rings at bahama Breeze are much better ( didn't like Race Rock at all to be honest )
