Hi everyone
I've been looking through threads and the following buffet places seem to keep being recommended:
Golden Corral
Sizzler
Ponderosa
Sweet Tomato
Can anyone tell me what prices these are like for the evenings.....when I was younger we went to the Corral..and I know it was one set price not matter what you had, whereas I think Sizzler depended on what size steak you wanted? If someone could let me know if the others are like that, that'd be great!
Also, which is best for "healthy" options?
Thanks for your help :D

Cant remember the cost of Sweet Tomato - about $12 dollars each but this is to me the healthy option and also the best quality.
When you walk in there is a large salad bar with about 100 different items of salad including 3 or 4 mixed salads which were really nice. You also have an option here of little pots of chicken which are about another 2 bucks.
You then pay and get your drinks and normally find your own seats.
There is also another section, here you will find 3 or 4 home made soups, home made bread with home made butters. Also jacket potatoes, breakdsticks, a pizza and 3 types of pastas.
For dessert there is normally one hot dessert and then the best muffins in the whole of Orlando which are just luke warm and yummy ! There is also a whippy icecream machine with loads of toppings.
All in all its really yummy !

Golden Corral only had the buffet last time we went, steak included on the buffet, and it came to approx $40 for 2 adults and 2 children, including soft drinks.
Ponderosa was roughly the same for 2 adult steaks and buffet and 2 children's buffets.
I think they all have the healthy option anyway. Lots of salads, and certainly in the case of GC, lots of veggies (even if they are sometimes a bit stewed). Our youngest DS (8) loves his veggies and his meal there would just consist of one big plateful with a little bit of macaroni cheese and a bit of turkey. He didn't touch the less healthy options of burgers and pizzas.
Golden Corral
Adult buffet $10.99
Child $4.99
drinks are extra on evening our bill evening was $48.06 thats drinks and sales tax
there breakfasts are adult $6.49 child $4.99 which included drinks
look out for money off coupons too
Dennys do great meals no buffet but great prices
Ponderosa - Breakfast is around $3.99 each, plus soft drinks which are a couple of dollars each. Coupons are available.
Golden Corral - $6.49 for breakfast (far superior buffet), includes drinks. $10.99 for evening buffet, but you can get coupons for this. They have coupon booklets all over the place, but we used to pick ours up from the entrance area of Golden Corral.
I'm sure when we went to Sweet Tomatoes in December the prices was around $8.49 each, plus drinks.
Sweet Tomatoes averages at about $10 for dinner including soft drinks. All of the choices of food are included in the price - it's well worth the money IMO - great for the 'healthy option' and dessert and unlimited soft drink refils is included in the price.
Sorry - we didn't go to any of the others
