In general I'd try and get an early swim time...... the weather can deteriorate in the afternoons and it would be a shame if your swim was cancelled due to a thunderstorm......
Everyone in our group did get towed back by Hutch and we played loads of games with him.
As for best place I'm not too sure as it will depend on where your group is ...... if I recall correctly there were 4 or 5 groups in the water at the same time as us in a semi circle all doing our own thing..... so it's hard to recommend where, but I'm sure the trainers will be more than helpful with this

Loads of threads on DC. Do a search and you will find loads of information.
Best to get to the park between 8 and 8.30am. That will give enough time to get changed into your wetsuit and hopefully you will get a very early swim (pre 10am). That will give you the whole day to enjoy the rest of this lovely park.
The interactions last about 30min. You only get a short straight line tow, about 10 to 15mts. There is lots of rocks at the side of the pools to get good video. However, the best place is in the water and taken by the professional..............but this can be rather expensive, think about $60.

Hiya
i did the swim to and mine was in the afternoon. I agree we had really bad weather so it did ruin the day a little and if we had had the swim in the morning it would have been better weather.
I would not bother with the video as it filmed everyone and we were on there for like 2 minutes. I think there was 8 in our group. I was very disappointed with the film and since read on the DIBB that someone wrote and got a refund cos they were so disappointed.
The place is lush
enjoy your day

Hi
My daughter and i did the dolfin swim in 2003. It was fantastic and well worth doing. :D My husband tryed to video from the side but found he couldnt get a good shot, he then moved spot but found whereever he was we always had our back to him. They position the groups in the water to get the best shots from their own camera people. We got the professional video, i agee its expensive and only a has short bit with us on but im glad we've got it. We are going back on the 10th March, and this time all all us will be doing the dolfin swim (daughter, son, husband and me) We are going to buy the video again, think its worth it for the good shots. Have a great time, i know you'll love it.
