Hi All you Epcot experts!
Have seen one mention that Illuminations is at 9pm but think it was possibly for earlier in the year- is that still likely to be the case in the second half of August?
Would be really grateful for your advice - and whether it is best to see it a few days after Fantasmic rather than before (could do either, and after is probably more sensible so we're not too jet-lagged still!)
many thanks

It's always at 9pm, all year round.

I think in August you may get 2 Illuminations, one at 9pm and another at 11pm/12 m'night. Check out on the disney site or someone will be along with the definitive answer.
Oh and Welcome to the Dibb

Wow! Brilliant! I'm impressed with the speed of reply.
Thanks for the info - which is the best Disney site to check it on - tried an official one - have been all over the place this afternoon so am losing the plot a bit - but it only covered opening hours until April, and nothing on show times.

We were there last August and Illuminations was at 9pm and as far as I know there was only one show.
..it better be at 9pm, or my 830pm Illuminations Cruise is going to be a bit of a disappointment!;)

We have decided to go to Epcot twice this next trip.
Once for the rides and stuff and then another day for the World Showcase.
We have been twice before, but cant believe how much stuff we have missed by trying to do the whole park in a day.

Not that fussed about Epcot..............will not be doing this year.
In respect to rides only Mission Space is worth doing. Test Track is not that great and starting to show its age, do not understand why the wait can be so long.
Agree that food is good and the illuminations is lovely.
Possibly when the DS's are alot older we might return, but at the moment there is much more for us to do without scheduling Epcot.

With 2 older boys (16,11) think there will be plenty for us, but had thought about doing Illuminations dayfter arrival....but think the younger one at least will be out for the count before 9pm so we'll go back once we're over jet lag to do whatever we don't manage on the first day plus Illuminations

Actually on NYE it's not at 9pm it's about 7.30/8pm.
When I was there last August there was one show at 9pm.I did notice that the next week it was scheduled either half an hour later or earlier - cant remember which. It is generally at 9pm but this is not always the case.

Looking at the historical hours Illuminations is moved about but mainly in December for some reason as 2003 NYE was at 11.40pm only! And for the rest of Dec was 9.30pm. Strange thought they kept it at 9pm religiously bar major holidays!
