what is this? is it a rollercoaster or what?can some one describe it to me?

it's a simulator. you sit in a "pod" with a pull down harness and watch a screen and follow instructions, whilst the pod spins fast...really fast giving you the feeling of weightlessness, but you do not feel the spinning......

fab ride we love it and our DD when she was 7 was thrilled to bits with it

Yes they do use a FAstpass system but on my 5 visits i did not need to use it as the wait was no more than 20 mins.
Looks like they use Centifugal force (?) to give you the G's & then the feeling of weightlesness.
Even the pre show is good with exhibits on loan from the Smithsonian on display.
If you suffer from motion sickness, don't stare too long @ the big habitat ring as it'll make you feel worse than the actual ride warns you about.
