I last visited epcot in 2000 and there was an amazing parade around the world show case part of the park with people on stilts. Was this a milenium special or is there always a parade?

ahhhh - sadly, my favourite parade, Tapestry of Dreams is no longer there. Epcot doesn't have a parade at the moment, but that may change with the new celebrations starting in May.

There are lots of other excellent entertainments there, including Off Kilter and the fabulous Japanese Drummers etc.

Such a shame about ToD though - at least I have it on video and also have the music on CD

Yes, real shame they got rid of ToN - an uplifting show and music, very colourful and moving - at lease like others, I have the video and CD (along with IllumiNations) that keeps me going in the dark dark months between visits to WDW!!

 ..another sad fan here... we loved this parade, and couldn't believe it when it was dropped. I also have the music (eternal thanks, Steve!:D) and play it often... "way-la, a way-la hey-la, way-hey hey-la.."

..LOL! I also put it on straight after replying to the thread, and me and the kids have been driving Heather mad for the last 25 minutes, dancing noisily around the house!:D

On our first ever visit, on our very first day, the very first park we visited........and the very first parade we ever saw. I thought - and still think - it is the most magical experience we have ever had at WDW. DS, Ben (then just 6) turned to me with eyes like saucers and asked if it was a dream. Will have to get a copy of the music - every time Sean lights up fireworks in the backgarden, the kids start singing this:D Am so glad we have most of it on video - and so sad its not there anymore:cry:

I too miss Tapestry of Nations :( I was a little disappointed with the shortened version Tapestry of Dreams as the way- la song was gone and a lot shorter parade but I was absolutely gutted when there was nothing

I  Epcot and I could spend every evening here but I think my family will have other plans as we are going for 23 nights :bheart: LOL

That said the illuminations are still excellent:wiggle:

Go to epcot to see Off Kilter, they are really good, and really like it when u join in and dance (which I did). Also illuminations is fab, a good place to stand just before you hit canada (hardly anyone stands there and u get a full view of the lightshow and the fireworks!!!
