I am the first to admit that I really hate It's A Small World, but I know that there are many people of the Dibb who disagree with me - so thought a poll was in order.
You cannot hedge your bets, no "not bothereds", personally I think those dolls are possessed!

It was closed on my recent trip and I think it was closed last summer. I thought I heard it wasn't opening again, could be wrong. I would love to do it and judge for myself.

I'm sure it's opening up again in Spring :D . The one at DLP is much more up to date, so I imagine it will be more like that when it re-opens :D :D

Can't wait till September to do it again - so its a  from me.

For someone who has never seen it, could you describe it and why you think it is so bad!

I have picked love it.

I wouldnt say that I love it but I do not hate it. So as I always go on even now DD is 12 (though it was closed on our last trip) I had to click on love it.:jump:

Think you have to look at it in perspective it has been placed in fantasy land, children adore it and parents enjoy their childrens enjoyment.

It is a ride that anyone can go on. All the family from youngest child to great great grandparent can ride and the boats are big enough to take everyone on at the same time. bonus
That is one of the things I love about the MK (apart from the mountains) everyone can partake in everything together :) It is just so family orientated.

I love coasters but my DM will not entertain them but we all enjoy the MK together :D

I think it is like picking a scab, you know you shouldn't but you just have to LOL :p:

But that song, sure sticks in your head :D

You have to go in there, if only the once

2 boys - its a gentle snore fest of a boat ride that takes you to all the countries of the world, where munchkin (evil!) little dolls in national costumes "sing" It's a Small World after all, over and over and over again!

Whilst I don't love it in the way that I loooove the Country Bears :D a trip to MK isn't the same without a trip on Small World.

It also has the benefit of being a fast loader, thus making more much needed space to move, in a crowded Fantasyland.

I agree, everyone should try it once. Hey, there's your excuse to return Zoe! :jump:

This is my Mum's favourite ride, but we would probably do it even if she didn't come.

I voted love it, but I don't, its just that I suppose I love it more than I hate it

Small World is kinda a family tradition now!!! Used to go on it for my child when she was 18 months old, now she is 13!!! We tend to grad a go if it is quiet but wouldn't queue!! So, don't love it...but would go on if it was quiet

Very useful after traipsing around MK all day in 90 degrees , to just sit down and enjoy the rest in an air-conditioned ride for 7 or 8 minutes ! Although even DD's think the ride itself is a bit cheesy..

Last year the ride was closed when we went - a bit of a relief as we didnt have to make the decision whether to go on or not!! We would probably go on it next time (just to see how it looks now!) Not my favourite ride but I dont hate it.As mentioned great to sit down for 5 minutes in the cool and the song stays with you for EVER!

I voted love it - but then, my one and only go on it was with DD2, then aged 15 months, and I think it was her reaction that makes it a ride I really enjoyed - she was mesmorised, big beaming smile, head swiveling all round, trying to take it all in - I was so dissapointed when it was closed on our last visit - DD2 was gutted (thank goodness for the Winnie the Pooh ride, being able to go on that instead saved the day) - and MIL was sad to miss it too.

I voted for  it!!!

My DS and DH would disagree and have to be dragged on kicking and screaming. The song does get embedded in your brain forever and for those who haven't heard it, the song and lyrics can be found at:

http://www.niehs.nih.gov/kids/lyrics/smworld.htm

hope the link works :)

HEALTH WARNING - listen at your peril, you may never get the tune out of your head!

I don't know why I love it so much, it is very cute and kitsch - a lovely boat journey around the ideal world as you wish it could be! (or maybe not!)

We LOVE it! It saved our first ever trip tp WDW - DD was scared of every ride she tried, and eventually we made her go on Its a Small World, and she LOVED it! I will never forget her grin as she whispered to me 'It's not at all scary mummy, it's just dolls singing!'
When we went to DLP we must have gone on it 7 or 8 times and we even bought the CD (although I have to admit it gets very little play time)

I wouldnt say I love it but always go on it just for the sake of the rest.
......Suzie on the other hand wouldnt be able to walk past the place, she loves it.
Suppose it will be nice to see the uprated version seeing as it will be open again when we go in April.
