I wondered if anyone had hired a lifejacket at the disney water parks? My DS 5 likes to go on the slides but I am worried as he cannot swim and I know the depth of the water at the end of the slides can be deep. If he wears a lifejacket will they let him on the slides? He would be quite upset at missing whatever his brother is going on!

DD wore her life vest on all the tube rides at TL last year - she didn't go on the body slides so I can't really help with those!

I dont think you will get on all the rides with life jackets...But if your son is only 5 then i presume that he wont be to get on the bigger rides hence he will limited to the smaller rides which the splash pools are not so deep.

I noticed that most splash pools from the rides have a lifeguard present in any case.

Ours were 6 & 4 when we went in 2000 and they had the life jackiet things and went on nearly everything apart from the body slide things, which I would not let them go down now. But yes, they went on all the tube slides.
