hiya,
Anyone been to victoria and alberts? i really would love to get really dressed up on night and this is the only place i have heard of. What can we expect to pay and is it worth it? Have i left it too late to book? We are going at the beginning of June.

Hi bob thanks for that,
Reading your posting there made me determined, i called and booked for June 6th and will keep it a surprise for my husband. Will just have to remember to secretly pack his suit now!!!
I got a quote for $95 per person plus wine pairing at $50 per person making $290.
You said your bill came to $400 how was this? I appreciate a tip is not included in the price but i just wanted to know if there were anyother costs i had not accounted for? or was it christmas day or something when you went?
Many thanks for your helpful insights
Claire.

It was $400 including tip, I didn't really know how much to tip but I thought what I left was well worth it.

Everything is included in the $290 price except tip.

Bob and Dawn that's brilliant news!! Obviously I'm jealous (LOL) - but I'm looking forward to the pics already.

I forgot to ask you before - was the harpist playing when you were there in Dec?

Jane and Claire - you will give us a V&A report too, won't you?

Sorry I forgot to put this in my report but yes there was a harpist and it really added to the atmosphere.

I hope we can get booked though.

We tried to book for our honeymoon, 2 years ago, at 180 days exactly, and the Chef Table was already gone :-(
Back then the price seemed terribly high... now, after 2 Euro years, it is not so bad after all...
