Well after much tweaking, researching, waiting for hours etc, here is our proposed itinerary. Comments/critique most welcome please. We are 2 adults, staying on I-drive, have rental car, thinking of getting 14 day flex ticket (as it's only slightly dearer than 3 visits to US/IOA/SW anyway. Also thinking of getting 7 day base MYW pass (again as it's only a few dollars dearer than the 5 day old style pass I had intended getting).

We are prepared to drop/add things as we go, but want to have some kind of schdule to follow, not doing water parks. We intend to get at parks early most days and have late afternoon breaks most days also. Haven't got park tickets yet (have Cirque tickets got). I have (I think) avoided all EMH hours as we are off-site.

Mon May 2: arrive at MCO about 18:15 (we hope) collect car, get to hotel, pick up groceries, sleep
Tue May 3: US to late afternoon, break at hotel, DTD (can you buy tickets at DTD ready for next day?)
Wed May 9: Epcot (not sure if we'll break in p.m. & return or stay till late p.m. and leave for the day)
Thur May 5: MK till afternoon (are we mad?? will it be crazy this day) Hotel break in evening and maybe go to Walmart
Fri May 6: AK to late afternoon, back to hotel, Titanic exhibition late evening (quite near hotel)
Sat May 7: Kennedy Space Center, no hotel break, MGM late evening mainly for Fantasmic
Sun May 8: Sea World, hotel break p.m., Trainland (also near hotel)
Mon May 9: US to early afternoon, break at hotel, MK from 6ish mainly for Spectro/Wishes
Tue May 10: IOA, maybe back to US, DTD, Cirque du Soleil 9pm
Wed May 11: shopping (has anyone ever driven into downtown Orlando? We only want to go to one specific shop which sells model train stuff, DH is a buff, well he does drive trains for a living) Epcot in evening for illuminations
Thur May 12: MGM, hotel to pack  , DTD
Fri May 13: US in a.m. Our flight is at 16:10, would 12 be Ok to head to airport, leave back rental car etc or is that too late??

Looks good to me. Are you getting your WDW tickets out there or here?

I'm gonna get tickets out there. I had originally intended getting tickets beforehand, but several of the sites only deliver to UK addresses and we are in Ireland. I just intend being extra early on the first days at the parks to be in queue at ticket booths, hopefully that will work out OK. I just hope queues at Disney aren't too bad because of all the MYW options, I know exactly what I want but am guessing that those in front of me may not even know about MYW until they get there!!

I've now made a list of all the attractions at each park, with yes/no beside them to cut down on time. Neither of us want to do the big coasters so that should save us some time queueing. (Can't you tell that we are both Virgos, with all the lists are organising :D )

Can anyone give me an idea if 12 is OK to leave for airport for 16:10 flight or do I need to leave longer? How long does it take to drop off rental car etc? Ta very much

It looks good, the only thing I would say is that you might be better getting the tickets before you go. Some of the sites are cheaper than getting them directly from Disney.

Also if find, for what ever reason, that you have any days left on your Disney tickets you can pay $55 to have them non expiring which might be worth doing.

That should be enough time all they do when you drop back the car is give it a quick check over and your off. I'm not sure how long your airline might require you to be there before your flight leaves and sometimes check in can have long queues
