YES!! It is fantastic! It's not just a supermarket, it is the biggest shop I have ever seen and it sells everything. You name it, WalMart has it. An absolute must!! Very cheap too. :jump: :jump:

(Have I persuaded you?? :wink )

its a Supercalafragalistick Supermarket, well the one on the 192 in Kissimmee is. They sell everything from Guns to yoghurt.
Somehow size does matter...........apparently

I would feel distinctly short-changed without a visit to Walmart on my trip. It's our first stop for all the necessities of life.

They do stock nearly everything in a Wal mart - DS got some great games for his GBA.

Personally, we preferred Super Target - it was cleaner than the Wal mart we went to, had a good range of stock and the staff were friendlier, but Walmart's definitely worth a look

Believe me, it's not just a big Asda - it's a lot more but you REALLY do have to experience it. They are local so it's not like you are going out of your way. Totally understadn dog comment-have you got a kennel yet?

You just have to visit Walmart even if it is only once. I am a confirmed shopaholic and I just love the place, but then lol I love anywhere that I can shop lol.

Our family always use triple A, very friendly staff and better than that they really love the animals. Its a holiday for your pet as well as you. But we humans always fret when leaving our favourite pets behind

My sister in law even puts their rabbits in there.

A great place and good personal service

Walmart - an awful place. Visited once, never again. Food on display was pretty grim, and everything else was stacked high and needed a good tidy. Save your time for the parks, in my humble opinion of course.

I would say £240 is steep - we are about £140 for our local kennels for 2 weeks!

I loathe the place. I always say if you want the ultimate warehouse experience - go there! I found the staff very rude and unhelpful. Go and check it out though. There are some bargains to be had. It is just a personal opinion.
I would rather shop for food at Publix and for all other items at the malls.
I was out of there PDQ. I totally agree with Rob.

Walmart - just come back with a Gameboy Advance SP for £40, Digital Cameras for less than half UK RRP, MP3 players for less than half UK RRP.....

It's not meant to be anything other than a supermarket, but it does some good deals. Other bonus is that if you buy in Walmart, you can return it to UK Asda...!

In other words, it's Asda with a gun cabinet, but pretend the UK Pound signs are dollars, and you get the picture.

We love the odd trip top Walmart and the fact that they sell just about everything.
Where else can you go where you can walk down an aisle full of Barbie dolls and Disney Princess dolls, turn into the next aisle and buy yourself a pump action shotgun or a crossbow.

Now thats what I call the "right to buy".

Suzie describes MK as her "happy place",and Walmart as her "other happy place"lol

It's funny how nobody has brought up how controversial Walmarts are in America. Many towns/communities have gone to great legal lengths to explictly keep them out. The accusation is that they destroy mom & pop shops, underpay their workers, and extend them very few health benefits.

That's because we don't know about it I think?

I would say a big YES, I can spend hours in there and spend a small fortune in the process.

Usually leave with loads of dvd's, cd's, golf shirts, shirts etc.

Great fun, was even looking at a portable dvd player at Christmas but managed to somehow control my spending bug!!!!

Certainly NOT the best place for fresh food, Publix seems a heck of a lot better but for shopping bargains, Walmart.

As seen in my other half's trip report (wolfcry!) we 'got lost' in Walmart for SIX hours!!!! When was the last time you spent six hours in Asda? (except at Christmas that is - the queues round here were HORRENDOUS!) :D

I loved Wallmart and it is definately worth a visit, you will be amazed at the size and you can get lost in it. It is really good for getting gifts for bringing back home, it sells all the touristy souvenir stuff and has really cheap designer perfumes/aftershaves and cheap disney character merchandise too. I got tigger car mats and seat covers for my car when I was there.

I know it sound silly going on about a supermarket but it is not anything like the ASDA or wallmart we have here!

walmart. hate it. dirty and tacky. a down markey t j hughes. avoid like the plague. then again 99% of shops in orlando are like t j hughes but thats america for you. as you can tell not a big fan of the shopping over there. when we went in 2004 i bought a par of sun glasses and a seaworld mug. no problems with customs coming back. lol.

10 Apr 05, 07:36 PM
What is wrong with T J Hughes we have just finished refurbishing my home and got all our bedding, curtain's and soft furnishing's from there at a fraction of the price other stores were selling the same products (then a gain we are not snobs)

11 Apr 05, 02:42 PM
It's about 10mins away depending on where you're staying, but you do need transport to get there not necessarily a car thuogh. The Lynx bus might go there?

Yeah I'd say so, but remember the has to let people on/off. My brother got a taxi from the holiday inn to walmart, about $6 so not too bad.
