Strange question I know but does anyone know where to get a roast dinner in orlando. Sometimes I just get a bit fed up with burgers and wondered if there was any restuarants that anyone knows of where you can get a roast dinner ?

Same here get a bit much burgers and steak all the time. Think the new pub up by wet and wild did roasts think its called george and dragon. Cricketers arms in mercado do sausage and mash and there was when i went last july a cafe in the food court at mercado that did things like beans on toast and proper english breakfast with english bacon

Had one at Denny's a few years ago at Christmas and it was awful, but it was the only place that we could get a meal that day.

Usually we like Denny's but not their Christmas roasts...lol

The Mercado Centre is almost derelict - Chinese restaurant in the food court with a poor Chinese bloke who couldn't speak English! The "Brit Cafe" is still there, but it doesn't look too appealing at the moment. We spent ages in the Mercado Centre last year, but this year, we visited and we out in about 30 minutes, lots of "For Lease" signs up. Same with Pointe Orlando.

My wife is a veggie, which is a nightmare in the US as they simply don't understand why she won't eat meat! My and the two boys more than make up for her lack of eating ability by eating anything that stands still for more than 30 seconds!

There are other options apart from roast dinners that don't include burgers, but you need to hit the restaurants rather than the diners, but you are not going to get hammered on the prices. Some of the guides are a little misleading on this, showing $$$$ when in fact you can feed a family of four (or overfeed a family of four!) for less than £75 including drinks.

The Brit Guide was a bit disappointing this year - it was a rehash of last years book, with the index not even being updated - many of the page references are completely wrong! I would also check out the updates on their website, although the park busy/empty days are guesswork! I think this site actually gives you a better guide to the area.

The Hard Rock Vault is shut and, Ripley's World of Wonders has a sign which is damaged and looks "ropey", and the only wonder in Wonder Works is how they manage to life so much money out of my pocket for so little value! When you get to the Pointe car park, they have put a sign on the ticket machines saying that Schwarz is shut, and the man in the booth said that a lot of people simply U-turned and left when they realised.

To be honest, I-Drive is not what it used to be (the Wet n Wild end seems to have gone very down market). There are good restaurants, and the best minigolf course in the world, but most people seem to head off I-Drive for shopping, etc. We spent very little time there compared to last time, preferring the malls at either end (entertainment, food, shopping, etc).

We are looking a mixing our next holiday with on-site and then villa rather than I-drive hotels, which is a shame, I-Drive used to be great to wander around in the evening, but we just don't get the same feeling about it these days.

I really enjoyed Cracker Barrell for home cooked style meal - it was the one meal that my boys wolfed down too - I think they were fed up of chips with everything.

I loved the mash potatos at Cracker barrels. made a great change from Chips all the time. Not overly expensive I don't think.

Don't forget you can have a roast dinner at the Golden Corral!

Another for Golden Corral. On a Sunday, they do a Sunday carvery with all the roasts and loads of veg. We all particularly loved the Sunday carvery buffet.

You might also try Boston Market. They specialise in chicken.
