Hotel Change

We've just had our hotel changed to the Orlando Grand Plaza formerly Orlando International Resort and Conference Centre and before that Ramada Inn Resort.

Has anyone been??

The reviews on Trip advisor etc are not very favourable and I'm starting to worry. This is my first time to Florida and now i'm more worried than looking forward to it.

i havent been .You do have to be careful when reading Trip Advisor but boy, are those reviews bad.

I dont think they get beyond 1 star on most reviews. I would approach the travel company with your concerns and see if anything can be done to change hotels again.

There are some fairly horrible hotels in Florida but that sounds to be one of the worst.
Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Tell them to change it.

hi there,
we're staying at the orlando grand plaza as we were supposed to be staying at the days inn lakeside and we're not worried at all, we read the reviews for the days inn and they were pretty bad and it turned out to be ok.
so i would take them with a pinch of salt, i emailed someone who left there email address attached to a review and he said it was ok nothing flash but ideal if your gonna be out and about all the time.

I think i'm quite happy with it actuallyas it is much closer to the action than the Days Inn Lakeside and as mallaeus says its not like we're going to be in the room for that long anyway.

We stayed here in August 2000 and it was fine!!! No idea what it is like now though
