hi everyone,
Sorry to ask a question i'm sure's been asked a million times.
But how long does the actual ride last, i'm a little bit claustrophobic but really want to try it? Is it worse or better than an mri scan?
Thanks Lee

Never had an MRI scan, but I'm very claustrophobic. Went into the single rider queue which was about 10 mins long and worried all the way up as the announcement states "if you are uncomfortable in enclosed spaces or suffer from motion sickness, we recommend you do not ride this ride". However, if you keep your eyes forward on the screen and don't look around and breathe very very deeply (and it helps to say a little prayer) it is absolutely FANTASTIC. It lasts about 2 minutes, but the way my heart was beating it felt like I had been to Mars and back. I recommend anyone takes the risk!!!
One of the best rides I've been on!!!

I'm a bit claustrophobic but was ok on Mission Space, just keep looking straight ahead and you'll be fine.
A fantastic ride not to be missed!!

Strange sensation. Made me feel a bit dizzy (more than usual!). DS loved it. I'll give it a miss next time.

yes when you are on the ride it is actually spinning around really fast but if you keep your eyes on the screen it doesnt seem like you are.

It's a centrifuge . . but you don't actually feel that you're moving once inside the pod, apart from the sensations of acceleration in your "space craft" etc.
Most people will not have any problems at all - a few will feel slight nausea.

I loved it, didn't feel any nausea just a little dizzy when I came out - and I can tell you from experience that it is much more fun than an MRI scan!

It was the worst few minutes of my life -:( It felt like hours !!
But I'm glad I tried it:D Never again though:confused2
I've done it only once - my kids managed it several times each. It doesn't feel like you're being spun around but it is very difficult to move - kind of like you see the pilots in films trying to move their heads.
I didn't feel at all sick but I did feel like I'd been 'pushed' firmly into my seat and felt a little bit 'delicate' for an hour or so afterwards

As a larger lady.. how do the seat sizes on this fair..??
Fancied going on it when we went in 2003 (i think that it had just opened up) but did not want the humiliation of not fitting into the seat..!:p:
