Hi,

Can anyone help me decide? We are going for 3 weeks and plan on getting 21 day tickets for Disney but can't decide about US?IOA. We have 2 girls 2 and 11. Our older girl has special needs and won't go on big rides. IOA only really seems to have Suess landings suitable for them although US has quite a lot more.

The flexi-ticket seems really good value for money but we're not sure if its worth it for us. We thought about maybe just buying a one day admission when we were there but when you add the cost of that to a seaworld ticket there's hardly any difference.

Also dd2 turns 3 just before we go 8 days and we were not going to get her a ticket but my consience has got the better of me - i don't want to worry about CM asking me her age. So there are budgeting issues also.

Anyones thoughts/ advice/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Karen

We are also going for 3 weeks, but will have 14 day Disney tickets and 7 day (buy 2 get 5 free) Universal tickets. We also have Seaworld and Busch Gardens admission included with Discovery Cove so Flexticket wasn't an option for us this time.
I would think there is plenty to do at US and IOA apart from big rides, my DS uses a wheelchair and doesn't do big rides either but he loves US and IOA. There are plenty of shows and less scary attractions at both parks.
Seaworld is also a lovely park, feeding the dolphins is always a highlight for us. You can usually get a second day free there as you enter the park if you decide to just buy a day ticket.
I would think the Flexticket gives you the best deal if you are likely to visit all the parks more than once. Remember it includes Wet & Wild too.
Shop around for the best deals!

Karen we are going in 12 days time, I have a daughter a month off 3. We booked the holiday so we didnt have to pay for her.... I know how tight are we!!!! We have a flexi ticket for SW US IOA and W & W. dont expect to use W & W as we have disney tickets for TL and BB, ( much nicer) however US has BARNEY SCOOBY and DORA my DD loves these. There isnt much diff is price so we thought this would give us flexability if we want to go back. PM me when I get back and I will get as much info as poss for you. Other threads do relly rate IOA and US, would be a shame to go all that way and miss out??

Thanks very much. I want to get a 21 day Disney ticket so we can go at the beginning and the end of the holiday.

I didn't realise that Scooby Doo was there-both the girls love Scooby Doo.

My timing isn't great if we had went 2 weeks earlier no tickets for DD2! but we have to wait until the school term finishes for DD11!.

I think we will get the flexi-ticket because we definitely want to go back to Sea World as well. I'm just stressing a bit at the total cost of the tickets it adds up to quite a bit.

Thanks

Karen

TBH it depends on the child. Our kids hated IOA and Universal as they don't really do rides. They only liked Spiderman and Dr Seuss. I would say that although both IOA and Universal are impressive they are not really suited to younger children with many rides, thrill rides especially after the variety of rides for all ages at Disneyworld.

Seaworld however, is AMAZING and you will probably want to go there twice. "Pets Ahoy" is a particularly pleasant surprise.

A lot depends on weather you want to do Wet N'Wild. If you are not fussed and are happy with the two water parks at Disney I would say consider not getting the flexi.

I think there would be plenty to amuse them at universal and they'd probably enjoy the themeing at IOA- lots of cartoons and squirty fountains etc. Do they like water ? both parks have great water play areas (as well as the aforementioned fountains) my boys would have happily spent the day in the curious George playground ! Seaworld has plenty to suit all ages, I'd go for the flexi ticket !
