Hello everyone.
just sat here wondering about all the classic attractions like space mountain etc. How would you feel if they replaced these attractions with new versions???? I know its a what if kind of question just interested to hear peoles views on this. Personally I would never change anything there but things have to progress dont they. What could you absolutely not do without???????
Ds would be devastated if they changed Big Thunder Mountain - he loves it just the way it is!!

Couldnt agree more. I would be devastated if the Disney people decided to do away with it. Its strange realy how you get fond of things that realy aren that good!!!!

If i am right it was closed for refurbishment and will reopen as tarzan, but in all honesty, she is not missing much.
As for the classic attractions;
Space mountain, they could improve on it as they did with the paris space mountain, now thats really good.
Splash mountain, well its too new to do anything or improve on it, but will be a question of time.
Thunder mountain, Things have to change and whilst i could ride this over and over its not a long enough a ride and at times is not worth queing up to ride again
Take epcot for example;
The comentary between 89 until around 99-00ish was done by the legendary American news reader Walter Kronkite and the music was called tommorows child.....
Today the commentary is done by Jerremy Iorns and the tittle of the new music escapes me, but IMHO it is not as good as the original as i knew althought anyone going for the first time now, will always remember the latter.
We come to accept it, tommorowland lost the starjets, but called them something else and alien encounter, I for one will not miss that, far to intense for little kids.
Change is inevitable its a case of when

For me, it would not be a ride but a show. If they ever do away with the Lion King show at AK I really don't know what I would do!!

I agree about change but I just hope they keep the same concept in the Magic Kingdom.
Most of the rides can be rode by anyone from Granny to baby... I know that my mam wont go on the three mountains but I do not think they have to go to Roller coasters. Universal did this but created a new park and it still does not have the number one attraction destination that Disney still has..
I want Disney to use the 'technology' of Spiderman but use it for rides that anyone can ride. this is what makes Disney stand out from the rest IMO. Walt wanted a place that 'families' could enjoy together.. and I for one don't want them to lose their way with this..
if they want to have roller coasters and such then they should create the Villains park that rumours mention and this could be where older children and thrill seekers could go..
Oh I miss Mr toads wild ... and no way will stand in line for an hour to bounce with tigger!!! but then again I just do not like Winnie the Pooh.. the name says it all ;)

I would be gutted if they got rid of Pirates of the Caribean...
even though this ride is begining to look a bit dated it needs to stay.
Fingers crossed with the success of the films they can revamp it slightly and bring it up to date...
Ideally making Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom available there every day :D :D :D :D
Yoho Yoho a pirates life for me

Yet I would love Pirates of the Carribean to go. Similarly I would hate Its a small world to go yet most people hate it. Star Tours must NEVER EVER go or be changed.

Same here too, the last 2 times that we've been it's been closed.
It might not be very good, but we're determined that we have to do it the next time!
