Universal Hotels - RPR payment question

Hi, sorry to jump in - I wonder if anyone can help. I've booked one night at RPR through the universal website, and have had my email confirmation. However, my credit card hasn't been charged at all (I booked about 2 and a half weeks ago). I thought I'd be charged as the website says that the deposit for any stay is 1 nights cost. I just wondered what other peoples experiences have been - do you just pay the whole lot when you arrive, or should they have taken a deposit by now? I don't want to turn up and find that because no deposit was taken my booking isn't valid!

I made a booking (via email/phone) and they said the card was only to hold the reservation and the charge would be made at check out, or if we fail to show.

I have stayed at the Universal hotels three times and changed my bookings as well !!

Sometimes they take the payment sometimes they don't!! No set pattern at all !!!
