Homewood I Drive & Driving Routes

I have been searching around for posts to do with Homewood (some great ones, thanks!) but most of the people who stayed in Homewood Suites I Drive seem to have used the shuttles. We will have a rental car.

Can anyone tell me what the best route to take to parks is? (Disney and Universal). I can see routes on map, but maps don't tell you which are the busiest roads, tolls etc. I have the route from airport sorted, it's really just the ones to Disney/Universal.

While I'm posting another quickie: Is it easier to go to Publix on Sand Lake Road or the one near Premium Outlets

Thanks for any info, just gotta pack! I've some room in suitcases if anyone wants, but you'll have to stay out there, they will be full on way back:D :D

I am not really the best person to ask but here goes..... I'd take the American Way road which runs behing the hotel and is directly behing I-Drive. When you come out of the hotel turn right towards the convention centre then head to the very top of the southern end of I-Drive.

From there it is about a 10 min Drive and I will ask DH for the road names.
