DS Birthday treat/surprise needed

Hi all

I am looking for ideas for my DS 7th birthday on 28th July. We will be in St Pete Beach during his birthday staying at the Don Cesar Hotel. It can't be anything too boyish as DD (5) will have a sulk :(

I am willing to travel to at least Clearwater if there is anything there.

We had considered the Red Pirate Ship from Clearwater, but it only seems to to sail during the main heat of the day or sunset which is no good really.

Any Ideas?

You could go out on a boat trip to look for dolphins. We did a great one where they take you over to a tiny island and you look for shells - loads of them - but they also liberally sprinkle the beach with gold coins and pretend the pirates have left their treausre there - my kids loved it.

Its located along the harbour not too far from the pirate ship - can't remeber the exact details - just oppostie a major restaurant place There are lots of turn up and go trips along there and you'd need to ask for the right one.

You have, of course, considered going to BG for the day?
