No but Fodor's and Frommer's are both very good. Used Frommer's California in 2003 and Fodor's Los Angeles 2003 and San Francisco 2003, they both have some excellent restaurant recommendations.

ive got DK eyewitness travel guide to california ,wasnt the cheapest in the bookstore but excellent guide

Just got back from Borders and have bought the Brits Guide to Las Vegas, it covers a bit of California and Grand Canyon info too so should be good. I also bought The Unofficial Guide to California With Kids, so am set up for some reading and dreaming. ;)

Spendleb - thanks for the offer, I'm sure I'll think of plenty of questions as I go along - off to read your report now, thanks for letting me know. :D
