Evening 'All,

Reviewing various DIBB threads on the Pirate Dinner, my initial enthusiasm for the idea of booking for August '05 is waning.

Any recent experiences anyone wants to share?

I went 2 weeks ago and thought the show was better than the reviews I had read. The food was good, a lot better than I thought it would be.

The show is ideal if you have under 10s, if not then I reccomend Dixie Stampede

We did Pirates a couple of years ago. It was OK. Fun for kids and the food was nothing special but cooked OK and plentiful. Just a pleasent diversion but not on our MUST DO AGAIN list.

my two boys were 11 and 13 when we did it and they thoroughly enjoyed it. as for adults, you have to be willing to enter into the spirit of things, and be willing to wear your headband and cheer your pirate on. some people are just too inhibited to go with the flow!

myself, partner, daughter and mother in law went in March, had read all reviews and didn't really know what to expect, anyway had a really good night maybe as we weren't expecting to. Food was fine for us adults but not really child friendly.

Would go again just for atmosphere if nothing else.
