View Full Version : Who knows any good vegetarian restaraunts near Universal?
We are staying at the Homewood Suites Universal and need to find veggie places for DD. It is near Universal/Wet n Wild on I Drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated as we were not to impressed with the choice last November in Kissimmee.
Sweet Tomatoes would be perfect. The website is here (http://www.soupplantation.com/)

No, but it's not far away from Festival Bay.
Sweet Tomatoes also gets a recommendation from me (and Jane, who is vegetarian). Very reasonably priced, and terrific to eat freshly prepared salads, pasta, soups, etc compared to our normal theme park fare.
Sweet Tomatoes - great food (not just for vegetarians, there are a couple of meat things on the menu), great value - give it a try
It is excellent and was my ds's favourite restaurant. She will love it and you can get take away food too. Here is the website

Another vote for Sweet Tomatoes, we ate there twice last week and it was wonderful. Buffet style, great selection, yummy desserts:D Only $20 approx plus tip for 2 adults. Great value as well as great food, and we aren't even vegetarians. Huge selection of salads, pasta, soups, breads, fruit, ice cream, drinks, etc

1st choice would have to be Sweet Tomatoes..
2nd Perkins.. If you like eggs omeletes etc...
3rd Golden Corral Just don't eat the meat...
Both DW and DD are vegetarians and all the above are in same area, Sand lake/Int drive area.
We found that any restaurant that served a buffet had something to suit everyone..
DW did once try chicken at sizzler expecting it to be a flat pancake like her mother used to make.. I have never tried her cooking......
sounds like Sweet Tomatoes is the winner, but we an't eat there for 14 nights!!!
We did go to the buffets last time but she had face like a slapped bum cos their wasn't much she could eat, she was sick of breaded shrimp by then!!!
My DH doesn't eat meat either although he eats fish - he found no problem eating at any of the restaurants in Orlando, although we didn't eat at a lot of buffet type places.:D
