Refillable Mugs

Can anyone explain how these work? We are not staying on site at a Disney Resort, so does that mean that we have to pay for new refills every day?

Would this work out expensive, as we are on a tight budget.

If anyone could shed any light on the matter it would be appreciated.

we bought one at TL for about $9.99, used all day and you can buy a new barcode for $5.99 to use on that particular day. Excellent value in the long run.

If you are not staying onsite then you will be unable to use them as they can only be used in the Disney resort you are staying at.

You can purchase one when in a Disney water park but that will only last that day, however you can renew your barcode for the waterpark mug at a cost of $7 or so.

if you stay on site, the refills are free, you just help yourself from the soda machines in the food court

I'm not so sure it would really benefit you to buy one as you're not staying onsite. We stayed two weeks at a Disney hotel so we paid once for our mugs and certainly got our money's worth with free refills for two weeks. For one day at a water park I would take my own...
