when did Disney studios, drop the MGM

Officially they haven't been allowed to use the 'MGM' bit in media advertising for a while as they no longer own the rights to it, or something similar.

Sony are the new owners of the MGM name and Disney are in talks with them as the Great Movie Ride still hosts the MGM name.
We were told that ithe GMR may close in the future.

i didn't think they had as we've just come back and i always keep a souvenir map from each park and the map says disney mgm studios at the top.

It was from Derby ( i think). It's my friends photography on that one, mine didnt come out quite so well. We were at the front. I still think there are some more in my gallery. When were they at Blackburn?
