Hi all.
We're thinking of doing the whole swim with the manitees thing when we go to Orlano this September. We did Discovery Cove last time and had a great day and wanted to do something similar.
It only seems to cost about £70 so seemed like a plan.
Has anyone done this? What's it like and what does it involve?
Sorry if this has been covered before.
Chris
See Captain Bob's page here.
Its been discussed many times here on the board - just do a search to find all posts.

We did this last October at Crystal River. If you want a non driving option, try:

They pick up at various Orlando locations, and stop off on I Drive for all you can eat breakfast.
You get a packed lunch on the shores of Crystal River, an airboat ride, a swim with wild manatee and a visit to Homosassa State Wildlife park.
FANTASTIC DAY OUT
Lovely people. Great to see some of the real Florida. Made our last full day in Florida very memorable.
One tip - take mozzie spray!

We did this to last year and was one of the best days out I have ever done, great fun.
We went with Virgin Holiays as an excursion I think it was about $99, the wet suit was an extra $10 each.

Is the swim year round or do you only see them at certain parts of the year? I fancy doing this one day to give us all a rest for the parks.
We too did the tour with Virgin. It was one of the best days out we have ever done.

Sorry for not getting back in regards to Blue Springs.
Yes its a state park, we spent two nights there a few years back, it was great fun.

It does say you can't swim with the manatee, but what they mean is you are not allowed to touch, .
