We have been to Orlando before at xmas but are looking for something a bit different this year.
We have 2 children that are very active.
Has anybody got any ideas and a kid friendly hotel
We are up for any destination really but being drawn towards the carribean
We have seen a few hotels with a mini water park which we are thinking could go down well
It has to be a special place and hotel as we went last time to Orlando
Thankyou

Something Ive always fancied is Christmas in the Canadian Rockies...maybe hire a log cabin or something? The Ski Resorts have tons and tons of activities including Skiddoos, husky rides, tobogganing, skating plus hot spas and excellent restaurants.
Its something we intend to do when our children are a little bigger!
Obviously not much good if you want "hot and sunny" though!!
If your disney mad like ourselves we now try to rotate the parks so we get a different aspect to them... For example our first disney christmas was paris 2 years ago and we were so impressed we immediatley booked for a xmas in florida last year..Again we were so so impressed after being away from the US for a few years we booked again for florida but this time to take in the Halloween season this October.. So this year we are heading back to a California for christmas so we can have a different disney christmas and take in some of our other fave things about California [Big Coaster Parks and fantastic scenery]..
For the future it will have to be trying a halloween in california..Knotts Berrry is suppose to do this so well as is the queen mary in Long Beach..and for christmas to come, Hopefully DLP will finally have built its ToT and WDW will have completed Everest...

There are only two options in my book for Xmas . . .
Caribbean - would highly recommend St James' Club, St Lucia. Fantastic place, all inclusive, the nicest staff anywhere in the world, food marvellous and tonnes of things for kids and adults alike to do . . . or just sit on the beach/by the pool and chill out, drinking cocktails. Another nice place over on St Lucia is Windjammer Landings , slightly more upmarket than St James', but much more $.
Skiing We went to Italy this Xmas and it was the best! We were so lucky with the snow, I love ALL things Italian, so that probably helps!, but there are so many other places to recommend for a Xmas ski trip. The kids want to do it all again this Xmas, but since we're off to the States skiing next Easter, can't quite afford twice, especially with the best part of three weeks in Florida this summer.
