I have a confession - walking around Epcot really does get me tired, and I use Spaceship Earth as a sort of....well, bed! Yes, that's right, I go on Spaceship Earth with the purpose of falling asleep. It's just, when they tip you back, and the stars are shining, well who isn't tempted? Maybe we should start a club of 'Spaceship Snoozers'...unless it's just me?

I am guilty of that, so I put my hands up....LOL
It is a very relaxing attraction and I commented on drifting off in my last trippie, but I really enjoy this ride.

I just love theme park rides. The ball could be empty and i would still enjoy riding around in it. I have a fascination with engineering and loved looking at the way all rides are put together. Spaceship earth is great, thats why i love Epcot, so informative.Needless to say my other half isnt as keen, she too thinks its too long a walk but i drag her round it anyway, well she makes me go to AK.

I LOVE Spaceship Earth. Something about all those twinkly lights..... And I say that as somebody who often falls asleep at the cinema.......

Rather strangely I find SE very uplifting, almost emotional! Can't deny it's also good for a sit down in the air con, but I do enjoy the ride as well!

I'd have to agree with Rob, I find Spaceship Earth quite moving. Jeremy Irons commentary is excellent too.
Always do this ride.

I don;t really fit into any of your choices. I love Spaceship Earth but I couldn't really say why. The scenes aren't exactly awe-inspiring, but I love the twinkly lights, the gentle ride, the fact that we can all ride it together wtih absolutely nothing scary to worry about, it's just a relaxing, pleasant trip. And if I catch 40 winks, well that's not so bad either.

I really enjoy the atmospohere; not just the lighting and sounds, but the smells (especially the burning of Rome) but find the actual mechanics of the ride somewhat dated, rather jerky. We still do it a couple of times each visit, though - somehow it epitomises EPCOT, something from the past like CoP in MK!

I love this ride but maybe it holds a special place in my heart as Epcot was the first Disney park that I went in when DD was only 18 months old and Spaceship earth was her very first ride. She still loves it now :D
I have to confess I fell asleep on it once but it had been a long day around World Showcase and I had had a few samples of the old vino
and last time I was there I found the hidden mickey :D

Oh no... going to ruffle alot of feathers I think.... I love it but only because I am fascinated to see beyond all the other stuff in there... I look at those tiles that form the ball and marvel that here I am actually INSIDE the Epcot ball! This is what does it for me... the rest I think is tacky and outdated..... runs and hides..... sorry.... (but I do love it for my reasons)

I think this ride really is down to personnal taste.
No offence but i really don't like this ride but i go on this every year as there are members of my family who adore it and look forward to it.
I personally wouldn't go on it but at the end of the day it is one of the rides which the whole family go on so wouldn't miss it for that reason...

No way would I fall asleep on this ride, the seats are far too uncomfortable :D especially when you are travelling backwards, they really hurt my back, now with some nice padding who knows :wink
