Evenin' All,

We're off into the Parks in August with our 2 boys, the youngest of which is 7 years - he's on the small side, though, and I'm interested to know what height restrictions we might get hit with concerning rides in places like IOA, Universal, and WDW.

Anyone got any insight?

Thanks

Hi Bryan, all the height restrictions are here (http://www.thedibb.co.uk/display.php?file=web/ride.php) First time we went DS was 7, he was ok with everything in disney except rock'n'roller coaster and tower of terror, Its mainly the big coasters that he won't be able to ride at universal.

My son was 8 last year when we went and he is on the small side. We did a chart on our kitchen wall from 9-11-04 when he was just under 50" until the time we went and he was up to 52.5" in shoes! He was too small to ride The Hulk which was his biggest disappointment - You have to be 54" for that. Also he couldnt do Kraken, DD and I know there was one or two at Busch Gardens.

We discussed standing him a grow bag prior to going but he was not having it! We also scoured the shops for wedgy shoes but he drew the line at wearing girls shoes!!!

He was upset at missing The Hulk but I honestly believe it was because it was called The Hulk! All the others he missed he was not bothered about - It gave us time to do something else while my husband and eldest son rode. Sometimes we went on other things, took some photos, called home but most of the time we just found a bench got some popcorn and a coke and watched all the people go by.

And its also a great incentive to go back when he is tall enough!;)

Can I just remind everyone that height restrictions are there for safety and insurance reasons. Restrictions may seem harsh but it's for your childs safety.
