Carnt afford to go back to florida this year, but hoping to go next nov, we would like to go to legoland in windsor for a couple of days maybe going else where whilst we're down that end, as we are up in yorkshire i'm finding somewhere to stay difficult as i have 5 children (interconnecting rooms).
Any advice on legoland or hotels helpful, thanks
Julie.

We did Legoland 2 years ago on an offer from teletext. We stayed in hotel at Heathrow for 2 nights (Accor hotel I think) with buffet breakfast and tickets for 2 adults and 2 children all for £180 (if I remember rightly - it won't be too much out). With nectar from Sainsbury's, we visited Whipsnade Safari park on the way down (didn't cost us a penny) and stayed in a Travel Inn the night before Whipsnade (Goldfish vouchers) and used a nectar voucher to pay towards our meal at the Brewster's next door to the Travel Inn.
A lovely few days was had by all for not very much money at all!
A couple of years ago we were going to stay in a log cabin in a place called near Legoland and Windsor. It was new in the Hoeseasons brosure that year. I think it was called Tulfaris Wood or something similar. I'm not sure if they only rent these for full weeks or if they do short breaks as well, but you could check with Hoeseasons. To cut a long story short we never went because the cabins were not ready in time for our holiday in May, so we postponed it til July and 2 weeks before we had a phonecall to say they would not be ready til Oct. We ended up booking for DLP at short notice. I think we are fated not to go to Legoland. The cabins looked like they would be lovely though when they were finished.
we've stayed in innkeepers lodge- Langley, and marriot langley when we've been down windsor way. Both good value (marriot had an offer on ) and they are very close to legoland. I know innkeepers could sleep 5 to a room, but I'm not sure if either had interconnecting rooms, might be worth giving them a call.

Actually, when I think about it, we stayed in interconnecting rooms in 1999 at the Moat House in Reading. That didn't seem too far away form Legoland.

Thanks for replies, would like to find somewhere between yorkshire and legoland if possible though.
Maybe then a trip to say Guillivers travels on the way.
We went to Legoland a couple of days ago. We are regular visitors and have annual passes. You should have a great time, just hope the weather holds for you. The place is built on a steepish hill and suggest you walk down (there are loads of slides and stuff to make it fun for the kids) and take the train back up the hill for the exit.

Try www.holiday-inn.co.uk for the hotel @ Reading South, we visted Legoland about a month ago. Do not book online, ring their telephone 0870 400 9670 and quote "Weekend Madness" £38.00 Per Room per night with free english breakfast.

We came back last Sunday. We did two nights in the Marriott Windsor/Slough. I booked it on the internet and got a great deal including tickets. We had a great time.
