What is the best time to arrive at the parks, they advertise opening times at 9.00 for some parks so could you help with a time to arrive at the carpark and get in so to avoid some of the queues.

Get there at opening if possible to get a head start on the rest of the world..
Most days you can do most of the headliner attractions before the crowds arrive and it leaves you to take the rest of the park at a slower pace.

October times are not available yet but here is a link to the official times of the parks and shows.
DISNEY TIMES (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/calendar/parkhours/index?id=MKCalendarParkHoursMonthlyViewPage&date=62005)
Universal and IOA have the opening times for Oct on their web site, but not Disney.

Hi Top timm
In October, the parks generally open at 9, not earlier (waterparks at 10).
I like to drive up about 30 mins before the opening: especailly at MK where it takes at least that long to do the mono or ferry transfer to the park and if you've kids you want to see Mickey open the park. By the time you've got on the tram, unloaded you stuff from the boot, done everyone's sun cream, you dont hang around long.
The only place where its not worth arriving early is Seaworld, where you never seem to need to rush, to be honest.
And the water parks always have Q to get in by the time they open so it really does pay just to stand in line for 20 mins if you want to get a lounger in the shade.
My family hate all this regimented timing by the way - I get nothing but complaints and 'oh half an hour won't matter' but in some parks its just not worth turning up when they've been open an hour - you'll never catch up all day!
We get to the parks for opening time probably about 4 or 5 times over the whole two weeks. If we did it every day everyone would just be too tired. We find this works for us as the other days we have a later start having breakfast somewhere on the way, we still get plenty done and find this works for us.
