Staying at the hotel Caribe in Salou this year. Has anybody stayed there? If so was it ok.

Going back to Florida again next year couldn't stretch the budget this year:jump:

I visited Hotel Port Aventura this May and thought it was really nice however next time I would prefer to stay at the Hotel Caribbe, as it has the most amazing pool. Just like the beach it has a sand base.
I thought Salou was a nice break in the sun.

Hi

we stayed there in 2005....food was very good bit samey but good when all said and done ...theres a childrens buffet of burgers and chicken fingers etc that part wont let you down ...you can swap even meal for lunch at the pizzeria which was yumm!!

rooms were nice well equiped and clean

pool was fab

drinks were pricey!...go to supermarket and get bottled water cans of pop etc you have a fridge in room...

childrens club was lovley really nutty woman running it but was very good with kiddies...little train to take you to park was fab ..last one back just before midnight so you have to walk back from fireworks but as its all down hill not a problem!

wouldnt hesitate in going back hubby really wants to but i like to go to difrent countries each yr but i would def go back here if i had a week spare...pool is superb!

We stayed at the Port Aventura Hotel over Halloween. The hotel was fine but the park, in my opinion, felt a bit souless. However I don't know if that was because sub-consciously I was comparing it to Disney. I found the staff in the park (not the hotel) to be quite rude, as well as the people generally. Maybe it was a language thing, but where I come from, when you smile at someone they smile back (unless of course it's a Jack Nicholson one flew over the cuckoo's nest smile :d: )

I can definately say I won't be rushing back, but I am glad I tried it.
