The missus and our daughters fancy this. Has anyone been and if so, is it worth going to? Can`t say me and our sons fancy it, but if it`s good, we`ll go to keep the other three happy. They can spend a day with us then playing golf!!

Ah totally love that place! I stayed down the road from it last year. It was a lifesaver as the beaches kept getting poluted!
Not bad value, great fun. Its never very busy (this was august btw)
The mermaid show they have is very cleverly done, and the boat trip is good too.
Be warned the water is cold, then again, it is natural spring water.
I definatly recommend it.

We went last October. It was different. It was nice for a more laid back day but the place is pretty run down. We went to the mermaid's underwater show which was surprisingly good as you sit and watch them perform through a huge glass window under water. The mermaids have oxygen lines which they have a quick suck on now and again. Very well done - apparently Johnny Weissmuller trained for his role in Tarzan at Weeki Wachee. Then we did the river boat trip - what can I say, there wasn't that much to see - a few pelicans and small turtles - the water is crystal clear but unfortunately there isn't a lot to see. Then we swam in the spring which was freezing but once you got used to it, was pleasant. There are two fairly old water slides and a good few sunloungers for sunbathing. We had a good day but our overall impresion was that it needed a serious cash injection to get it back to what it had once been.
