Thanks, I couldn't see any price, so it must be expensive.
The only flight my hubby will be having is on the way out and on the way back !!!!

Thanks
Amanda

Amanda,

The mustang is pricey (think it was approx $2000)but next door to them is a place called Warbird adventures (http://www.warbirdadventures.com/) .

They do various flights and prices are reasonable.

Hi Amanda
I did the Warbirds 30min flight last year and it was fantastic. The aircraft is a T1 Texan two seat trainer from WW2 so not that different to a Mustang. Its a totally amazing experience as you get to fly the plane and perform loop the loops, barrel rolls etc pulling lots of G force. I think its the most incredible thing Ive ever done in my life. I think it costs around £200 for 30 mins but there are various price options as well as wing tip camera and video packages that you can buy.

I cant reccomend it too highly even though it was very expensive it was worth every penny.

Hi Amanda,

Warbird Adventures have suspended flights in their T1 trainers after a fatal crash occurred in one of the planes. The NTSB is currently investigating the accident. Their other T1 plane is undergoing restoration after damage sustained in last years hurricane and they think it will be around August this year before flights re-commence.

Hope you're going late enough in the year so hubby can enjoy himself.

Have a look at previous threads about the accident.

martin.

The T6 texans should be flying again at their Florida base around the 1st of August.

There is no operations at their Florida base due to the fact that the 2 remaining T6's are not available for flight ops.

1 aircraft is on tour up beside New York i think and the other is being repaired after suffering damage when the hangar collasped during one of last years hurricanes.
