As much as a mountain man at tupperware party!!!!.

Its horses for courses. If any of your party has any intrest in SPACE, then it is a must.

If you can rember what you were doing, not when Kennedy got shot, but when Neil Armstrong fluffed his lines and first set foot on the moon, then this is the place for you.

If you hate mechanical things and vast expanses of concrete etc then stay away.

i've been and, having no interest in anything sci fi, found it really boring. just moved from one room to another watching films, then got taken out to see the replica rockets. bored me to tears. having said that, i have several friends who would not miss it, so it really is down to personal preference.

Never went as didn't fancy it much. Our friends who shared the villa last year went but I think they only thought it was just o.k.
If I'd done and seen everything else in Orlando I think I might consider going but not til then.

Personally wouldn't miss it - I found it fascinating last time but we had to curtail visit as DH (now exDH) had sunburn from the day before and spent all day being miserable!

This year I am planning to be there on my birthday - launches allowing!

WE all loved it, i am very fussy but found this place awesome, its history in all its glory. We are going back this year and already have got the tickets. There fingers crossed should be a shuttle going up, so that would make it even better, although we wouldnt go for the visit on the same day a the shuttle went up.

We went with kids age 6 and 11 on 2002 we all enjoyed it, saying that we went back to Orlando in 2004 and nobody wanted to go there that trip.

The choice to visit KSC is your own and if you feel the need to visit then you should do so. All such visits are what you make them.
If, however, you are asking for opinions on what others thought of KSC then you can gladly have mine.

Report begins:
1,Upon arrival we all ooohed and aaahed at all the various space vehicles.
2, seen one rocket seen 'em all. stayed on the bus. looked forward to going back to the villa
Report ends!

This is my opinion only based on personal experience. this is NOT meant to be a definitive description of KSC. that is subjective
Have fun whatever you do:D

I love the place :D

Also helps that I have a huge interest in aviation and space travel but hey!?!

I always find it very amusing spotting various wildlife on the tours, and twice now the tourbus having to come to a very sudden stop due to an Armadillo crossing the road lol! :D

KSC reminded me of the sort of comment I used to get on school reports: "Could do Better!"

We went in 2000 and all enjoyed it, in particular me who didn't really want to go in the first place. Went back after 2001 and because of added security they have cut down on the parts you can visit and it was nowhere near as good but still cost the same.

We thought it was an awe inspiring place.

Its not a theme park, and not meant to be a theme park, but is something amazing in its own right.

IF you enjoy the space section of the science museum in London, this will blow your socks off.

I loved it. But then I adore history and science and not everyone else does. I can't actually do the I-Max films as they make me sick but I just love the rest of the place. As said above look out for the armadillos they get everywhere.

We went on our very first trip to Orlando and then again on our second visit to Orlando and guess what, we are going again this time :)

If you have never been before then I would say go because that will be the only way of finding out if you like it or not.

No your not mam. We also loved ksc for the very same reasons you did and hoping to see the shuttle makes it even more special.

I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. My generation were brought up already knowing man could go to the moon so it wasnt a big deal but being there made it really hit home what an achievement it really was.

We went a few years ago and like some have said, although it was somewhere we did all want to go, when we got there it was so much more than we thought it would be.

Just to see the spacecraft that are part of our history is incredible IMHO; we ALL enjoyed it and DD would have been around 7 when we went.

It as the first thing she talked about at her class' "Show and tell" on her return from holiday and I remember her teacher saying how wonderful it was the Katie had seen these things.

I think if you were to go there thinking you won't find it interesting, then you won't. However, go with an open mind. Also like someone has said, it's not Disney, it's not Univesal - this is real life stuff and more fantastic because of that.

It's less than an hour to get there - very easy, straight roads. If you don't want to do much walking when you get there you can sit on the air conditioned tour buses (you can get off at various stages to visit exhibitions, like Saturn V; see the launch pad and the HUGE tractors which take the rockets out - just to see these give you some idea of the sheer scale of these rockets; you go in to a real Challenger spacecraft . . . .)

We've done it, not particularly interesting in revisiting for a few years, but we wouldn't have missed it for the world.

 OMG I sound like tourist brochure for KSC, I think I'll stop now:D

The best thing about it was the "space icecream"

Just come back from Florida and still a bit jetlagged.... no idea why it's called the "Sunshine State" as it rained for 2 weeks..... just my luck.

We went to KSC on our first visit some 15 years ago and my wife was bored stiff all the time.

This time, with all the changes and renovations that have taken place there lately things were a lot more interesting, even the wife enjoyed it this time.

If you went more than a couple of years ago ( before the rocket garden and the shuttle mock up ) then the place has changed out of all recognition and I would suggest anyone go take a look.

My 10 yo daughter was more fascinated by the wildlife we saw there as well, being a nature reserve. The coach had to stop several times on the tour to let snakes, turtles and even alligators cross the road, great fun for her.
