Here goes,

My husband and I are first timers, holidaying for three weeks along with our daughters aged 15 & 13!!

I have read loads of info on site which has really helped me compile the following:-

Thursday 21 st July - arrive Sanford about 2.30 pick up car form Dollar, which I have already paid for on line at uscarhire.co.uk
I hope I am right in thinking that all insurances are paid and I have only to pay for tank of petrol. Paid £389 all inclusive for three weeks does this sound about right.

Arrive Best Western Movieland - unpack, unwind, head to downtown disney for a mooch and food. Back to BWML not to late as early start tomorrow

Friday 22nd July - Animal Kingdom PS at Breakfastosaurus for 8am - not sure how to get into park at that time though or what time need to leave hotel?

Saturday 23 July - Magic Kingdom - stay till drop after fireworks

Sunday 24 July - Typhoon Lagoon

Monday 25 July - MGM

Tuesday 26 July - Mall at Milenium

Wednesday 27th - Blizzard Beach

Thursday 28th - IOA

Friday 29th - Epcot

Saturday 30th - Universal

Sunday 31st - lazy day at pool head to downtown disney at some point

Monday 1st August - Open so far

Tuesday 2nd August - IOA

Wednesday 3rd August - Shopping Universal Ciy Walk
? P.S. hard rock cafe - not sure how to

Thursday 4th August - Typhoon or Blizzard upto girls

Friday 5th August - Epcot

Saturday 6th August - Magic Kingdom - PS for tea at Liberty tree tavern

Sunday 7th August - revisit fav. disneypark

Monday 8th - No plan as yet

Tuesday - Beach either clearwater/cocoa. If cocoa maybe stay night for tomorrow

Wednesday - Kennedy SPace centre - not sure about leaving while last day as youngest is a science geek and this will be her highlight, however she seems to think there might be a launch on this day?

Thursday - pack, laze around pool, last minute shop - fly 5pm

How does this seem?
Any help with must see's at parks and ideas where to eat would be great. We have bought 21day ultimate tickets and are thinking of 2 day/2park universal which if we buy at best4 are valid for 7 days. Kids not bothered about seaworld. What do the experts think????

Thanks

You may want to think about KSC on that Wednesday as there is a launch and it will be very busy!!

NASA's Next Rocket Launch
Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter/Atlas V
August 10
Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla

Hi if u are relying on the free transport from hotel they are fine for getting u there but they usually leave too early to enjoy the parks at night, for your breakie ps at AK your best option is a taxi to AK,also if u are using the free transport for Disney be prepared for an hour or more travelling to parks, when u are going to the water parks u need to get a bus from a disney resort as u can't get a bus from the TTC, to make a HRC ps u can do this online at the Hard Rock website shopping at citywalk u can do when at the parks theres not many shops to see but u could use the river boats to visit the universal resorts and see if u can talk hubby into treating u at Mandara Spa or a nice meal at Tchoup Tchoup
recomendations for eating at USO try Lombards for a nice sit down or for more relaxed try Finnegans at IOA Mythos is pricey but well worth it and u can just try the deserts

agree with the revisit of KSC to avoid the launch - ksc will be extremely busy that day and seeing the launch is not worth missing a lot of the centre for the launch (as we found in 2001)

why not swap this with your beach day - you will see the rocket launch from the beach anyway?

When we had our PS at AK, we srove to the park and got there about 7.30 am. We were first in the queue waiting to get into the car park and they opened the car park at exactly 7.45 am. So we got an excellent parking spot and headed straight for our PS.

Just a note.....don't forget that on your first few days your body clock will still probably be on UK time. So you will be up very early and falking out by early evening. We find that on our arrival day, we don't have the energy to do more that look round the hotel and grab a bite to eat, before we need Zzzzzzzz! We then find that we wake very early for the next couple of days, but struggle to do anyting late into the evening on these days.

Everyone is affected differently by the time change, but a lot of people seem to have the problem above.

PS...Welcome to the Dibb!!!....if you haven't been welcomed before...or even if you have!! ;)

hi:wave:
day three at the water park sounds good. this would be a choice for day 3 i would go for as it's usually around the third day that we are totally wacked:zzz: so up early to water park for a bit and back to hotel for a sleep and back out.
your first day at ak should be fine - you'll probably be up quite early with the time difference - i think most of us are.
is your hotel on i-drive? if so and you are sure of directions and roads you need to take for your ps at ak it should only take about 20mins to get there. give another 10-15mins to park and walk or jump of trolley/tram/bus (whatever they are called) to entrance & round to breakfastaurous.
what about celebration - i haven't been but am going next trip as i have read some nice reports on it - read some of the trip reports others have posted - you will get some good ideas here for other things to see and do.
